The Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” is Mind-Bending

Robert Pattinson and John David Washington in "Tenet"

The trailer for the espionage thriller Tenet is all sorts of confusing – in the best way possible.

“Don’t try to understand it. Feel it,” as one of the characters said in the trailer. We’ll take that advice. Nolan’s follow-up to 2017’s Dunkirk will include John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, Dimple Kapadia, and Clémence Poésy.

Nolan is quite familiar with many of the members of the cast as he’s worked with a few of them before including Caine who was in eight films by Nolan, Branagh who was in Dunkirk, and Pattinson who’s in the new Batman and Nolan directed The Dark Knight trilogy.

Nolan told Entertainment Weekly that, “We’re jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we’re going to a number of different places. We’re crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces. There’s no question, it’s the most ambitious film we’ve made.”

This would explain the huge budget of $220 million, which is Nolan’s biggest budget to date.

Tenet is set to be released on July 17, 2020. You can check out the trailer below.
