]]>Taylor recently set down with Tamron Hall to discuss her plans for the future and revealed she’s working on a potential biopic inspired by Warwick’s life.
“I always wanted to make sure I could lock in with any person that I would be playing… She’s had a wonderful career, and I think right now is about making her feel as safe as possible to tell her story because a lot of these stories get misconstrued or dramatized to an extent. That’s not really where we want to go,” said Taylor.
Taylor also cited Angela Bassett’s portrayal of Tina Turner in What’s Love Got to Do With It and Jamie Foxx’s portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray as inspiration for her performance, saying she misses when films really allowed you to get to know the musicians and tap in.
Warwick went down in history as one of the biggest R&B artists of her generation and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the R&B Music Hall of Fame.
