Netflix is also concluding some of the comedy series that put it on the map, but they still have a couple more hits up their sleeve. Stranger Things isn’t going anywhere yet, but same can’t be said about some other shows we’ve been obsessing about for years.

According to Variety, season 5 will see Joanie returns to Montauk to investigate the death of her mother. In season four, Alison’s death, which first looked like suicide, was later revealed to be murder committed by her boyfriend, Ben (Ramon Rodriguez).

The news of Paquin’s casting comes after it was reported earlier this week that Claes Bang has joined the show as Sasha Mann, Helen’s new love interest. Whether Jackson will return to the series’ final season to star alongside his on-screen wife, played by Catalina Sandino Moreno is still unknown. Joshua Jackson is saying goodbye to The Affair. The 40-year-old actor has been on the show since its beginning, starring as Cole Lockhart. Now TVLine confirms that the actor will not return for the series’ fifth and final Season. The 40-year-old actor was initially contracted for two Season and kept on signing.
The news of Jackson’s exit from the show follows news of Ruth Wilson’s exit after her character was killed off in the Season 4 finale. Wilson confirmed her exit in August saying she “did want to leave, but I’m not allowed to talk about why.”
The show’s final season is still in development, and the creative teams is still figuring out how all the characters’ stories will end. According to the outlet, Jackson might make a couple of guest appearances in the series’ final season.
