NBC News didn’t comment about where she’s heading next, but sources told The Daily Mail, she’s heading to CBS’ The Talk where she’ll be joining fellow hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood.
The Talk has been looking for new hosts since the controversial departure of co-host Sharon Osbourne.
The anchor is expected to contribute to Dateline for the rest of the year and she’ll have an on-air farewell on Today over the next few weeks.
“This first half of my life has been one full of adventure, challenges, travel, way too many early wake up calls, and yes opportunities to witness history unfold and to tell inspiring and impactful stories that will always be in my mind’s highlight reel,” she told staff in an email announcing her departure as Variety reported.

]]>Inaba served as co-host of the daytime talk show for over two years. The Talk is now down two hosts—Inaba and Sharon Osbourne, and it’s unknown if CBS will replace Inaba before the show airs with new episodes in September.
“I enjoyed my time at The Talk as co-host and moderator and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to grow with the entire Talk family as well as truly connect with the viewers on such a personal level,” Inaba said in a statement via Variety. “I will miss ‘The Talk,’ but I am excited for the next chapter both for myself and for the show.”
Not long after Osbourne left the show, Inaba took a leave of absence, choosing to prioritize her mental health and wellbeing. The Talk was put on hiatus until March 29 after CBS conducted an investigation surrounding Osbourne’s comments.
“Carrie Ann’s authenticity and openness created a special connection and relationship with our audience. We will always be grateful for her contributions here at ‘The Talk’ over the last 3 seasons,” Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews, executive producers at “The Talk,” said in a statement.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eve to the table as she brings a fun and fresh perspective to our already diverse panel,” said Angelica McDaniel, Vice President of Daytime Programs at CBS. “The great success of The Talk is due to the undeniable chemistry and bond of friendship between the hosts. Eve is an accomplished and dynamic performer, musician, wife, and stepmother who fits in seamlessly, while also adding a new layer to the show as we continue to evolve season to season.”
Aisha Tyler left The Talk in July, saying she was busy with other projects. Tyler is currently involved in three shows including series Criminal Minds, in which she is a series regular. She will also make her directorial debut in 2017 with the movie Axis.
“I just realized I had to let something go,” said Tyler. “It’s been the hardest decision of my life and you guys are my family and I love being with you every day.”
Eve is not just an accomplished musician, but she also found success as an actress and fashion designer. She starred in the Barbershop films and also played the lead role in UPN’s sitcom Eve. Eve launched her signature clothing line titled Fetish in 2003.
The Talk was created by actress Sara Gilbert and debuted in 2010. The show is currently in its eighth season.
