]]>The series premiered in 2015 and followed the adventures of the Lord of Hell Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), who decides to resign his throne and start a new life on Earth because he wanted to get a better understanding of humanity.
Executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson expressed their gratitude to Netflix for allowing them to continue telling this story and finish it on their own terms.
“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!” reads the statement by Modrovich and Henderson.

]]>Mass support from the public earned Brooklyn Nine-Nine a 6th season with NBC after it was canceled by FOX, while Sense8 fans rallied for the Netflix series to have a 2-hour finale.
Now, Lucifer fans appear to be rushing to the show’s defence.
FOX cancelled the series about the bored devil after, with the third season being its last.
Lead actor, Tom Ellis, has revealed that “a conversation has been sparked by this. And we are trying to find a place,” to carry on the series.
“Because Warner Bros are an independent studio, they don’t have a network, it means there are other places we can take it and those are potentially exciting places,” he told BBC Newsnight.
