The post Kathryn Hahn is Getting Her Own “WandaVision” Spin-Off appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>WandaVision centered on Wanda Maximoff and Vision living an idyllic suburban life in a small town in New Jersey, but it quickly turned out things aren’t as perfect as they seem. Hahn took on the role of their noisy neighbor Agatha Harkness, who turns out to be a powerful witch who’s been studying magic for centuries.
Hahn expressed interest in reprising the role even before Disney+ made things official. While discussing her future in the MCU with Gold Derby, the actress said there are many fascinating things to explore if she ever came back because Agatha touches so many different worlds throughout the comics.
“You know, she’s a centuries-old witch and has seen a lot, and there’s a lot of different people and beings that she’s crossed paths with over the last couple of centuries, so that would be a blast to explore,” explained Hahn.
Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha Harkness was met with universal acclaim, and she received an Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actress in a limited or anthology series.

]]>Both shows will be in the running for the biggest award of the night—the outstanding drama series. Their competition in this category will include The Boys, Bridgerton, Lovecraft Country, Pose, The Handmaid’s Tale, and This Is Us.
When it comes to the comedy side, Ted Lasso is an obvious front-runner, but it will have to face tough competition to score the victory. The list of nominees for outstanding comedy series also includes Black-ish, Cobra Kai, Pen15, Emily in Paris, Hacks, The Flight Attendant, and The Kominsky Method.
The best-limited series field is just as crowded, with Disney+ superhero show WandaVision leading the way. I May Destroy You, Mare of Easttown, The Queen’s Gambit, and The Underground Railroad are close behind, and they’ll all be in the running for the best limited or anthology series.
This year’s Emmy Awards will take place on September 19th, with Cedric the Entertainer serving as the host.

]]>As the trailer begins, we see the two characters, played by Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, living a perfect ’50s suburban life as a traditional couple, filmed in black and white. As the trailer progresses this reality starts to unveil.
Starting with a strange meeting with their neighbors, the world around them begins to change. The events of Avengers: Endgame are mentioned—along with the fact that Vision is supposed to be dead. The trailer leaves the viewers wondering what brought on this Pleasantville version of life and what will happen to the couple next.
The exact release date of WandaVision is yet to be confirmed as the trailer does not mention it and ends with a simple “coming soon”. WandaVision will consist of 6 episodes which will be streamed on Disney+. Jac Shaeffer is serving as the series’ showrunner.
As Scarlet Witch is due to play a big role in the upcoming Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, we can expect the series’ story will lead us towards the movie’s.

]]>Entitled WandaVision, the Disney+ show follows Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch (aka Wanda Maximoff) and Paul Bettany’s Vision during what appears to be the 1950s. Both characters first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, with their joint series officially announced in April last year.
According to the plot, the show will center around how Scarlet Witch creates a sort of an alternate reality where she is married to Vision and they have children. As the series will be linked to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it is possible that Benedict Cumberbatch’s character might even make an appearance… Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings, Randall Park, and Kathryn Hahn are already confirmed to join Olsen and Bettany for the 6 episode series.
The series was originally slated to debut only in 2021, but Disney+ has revealed that WandaVision will be hitting screens this year instead!
During its Twitter promo about what to look forward to in 2020, WandaVision is clearly amongst the fodder to mark in your calendars.
Although no official release date has been announced, our vision is very much focused on the coming months!
