Spinning Gold already stars Jeremy Jordan as Neil Bogart and has Bogart’s son Timothy Scott Bogart writing and directing. Bogart is considered an iconic record executive who had a lasting impact on music. He founded Casablanca Records in 1973, with the legendary rock group KISS being his first signing. The label later added more prominent music acts to its roster, including Donna Summer, Lipps, Inc., Parliament, Village People, and others.
Spinning Gold will be Wiz Khalifa’s first movie appearance since 2012’s Mac & Devin Go to High School. Khalifa worked more frequently on television, having a voice role on animated sitcom Duncanville and appearing in comedy Dickinson in recent years.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Steinfeld is thrilled by this casting. Death is supposed to be the young poet’s creative muse or even a kind of a lover. “I’m a huge fan of him in general, so the fact that we were able to get him to do the show was so exciting and he loved the idea of it,” she said. The series will be available from November 1 on Apple TV+.
