]]>Burnett said she’s “thrilled to be a part of [her] favorite show” in an official statement announcing her involvement. She’s set to play the character named Marion, but it’s unclear what her role entitles and how she fits into Jimmy McGill’s complicated journey and his transformation into the crooked lawyer Saul Goodman.
Burnett isn’t the first exciting guest star to join the final season of Better Call Saul. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, will reprise their Breaking Bad roles of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Cranston recently discussed the secrecy behind their cameos with Radio Times, describing the experience as “surreal”.
“We were flown into New Mexico secretly and they created this shroud of privacy – we were sent right away to an Airbnb house that we were not allowed to leave. There was all this stuff going on, it was exciting! But also a secret and we kept it secret for a year,” said Cranston.
The second half of the final season of Better Call Saul will premiere on July 11, and it will star Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Tony Dalton, and Giancarlo Esposito.

]]>A cameo by these two characters was a long time coming and Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould confirmed it’s going to happen during a recent appearance at PaleyFest. Co-creator Vince Gilligan echoed his statement while chatting with Variety at the Better Call Saul Season 6 premiere.
“These two worlds cross over in a way that you haven’t seen before, that’s for sure. It would be a damn shame if the show ended without [Cranston and Paul] appearing, would it not?” said Gilligan.
It’s still unclear in what capacity Cranston and Paul will return, but they’re not the first Breaking Bad actors to appear in the show’s spin-off. The list also includes Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman, Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, and Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring, among others.
Better Call Saul will conclude its run with the sixth and final season. It will premiere on AMC on April 18 and it will consist of 13 episodes split into two parts.

]]>Better Call Saul is a Netflix prequel to the popular TV show Breaking Bad. The prequel follows the story of Heisenberg’s lawyer Saul Goodman and explains how he ended up, well, breaking bad.
By the end of season five, the show brings us very close to the Breaking Bad timeline. We’re not quite sure how much the shows will crossover but Gould has suggested that there will be more of a connection than we anticipated.
“I think by the time you finish watching Better Call Saul, you’re going to see Breaking Bad in a very different light,” Gould told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I think we’re going to learn things about the characters in Breaking Bad that we didn’t know. We’re going to learn things about the events of Breaking Bad that we didn’t know.”
He added “We’re going to learn things about the fates of a lot of these characters that may surprise people or certainly throw them into a different light.”
Season six of Better Call Saul will be the final season of the show. It currently has no release date.

]]>The Golden Globe winning actor said in an interview with Collider he will be happy to step back into the chemist-turned-drug king’s shoes. “I would be in it if Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, who are co-executive producers on it, wanted me to be in it,” Cranston said. “I would do it in a second. But it hasn’t happened yet, I can tell you, and we’ll see. I don’t know. There’s one more season to go and we’ll see what happens!”
Cranston may also contribute to the show from the other side of the camera. “I have been asked to direct an episode every single season and it just didn’t work out because of a commitment to doing a play or doing a movie or something, so I wasn’t able to section out the times available,” he said.

]]>The show concluded in 2013 but it’s still considered by many to be one of the best shows of all time. The spin-off series, Better Call Saul, is still underway and brings the pre-Heisenberg timeline up to the point of Gus Fring’s meth empire.
The new series will be called The Broken and the Bad and will take a look back at some of the biggest moments in both the series and the spin-off. It will tie these moments in with similar events that have happened in the real world.
One episode is set to focus on Chunk MicGill’s storyline and will delve into the mystery of a town where people with electromagnetic hypersensitivity can live in peace.
The series is described as being “inspired by the most memorable characters, situations, and themes of the Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad universe and focuses on the real-world stories that mirror the fictional worlds of both shows”.
No official release date for the series has been announced yet.

]]>News that AMC has renewed the series for a sixth and final season was announced Thursday by showrunner Peter Gould and co-creator Vince Gilligan during the show’s Television Critics’ Association winter press tour panel. News of the final renewal comes a month before season 5 is set to premiere on the cabler.
“From day one of Better Call Saul, my dream was to tell the complete story of our complicated and compromised hero, Jimmy McGill – now AMC and Sony are making that dream come true,” said Gould. “We couldn’t be more grateful to the fans and critics who are making this journey possible. Next month we start work on the sixth and final season — we’re going to do our damnedest to stick the landing.”
“Greenlighting a prequel to one of the most iconic series in television history is one of the boldest swings that AMC has ever taken. But, thanks to the creative genius of [co-creators] Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, it has also been one of the most rewarding,” said Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios. “It has been an absolute joy to collaborate with the extraordinarily talented team on Better Call Saul, which — five seasons in — continues to deliver some of the best storytelling and most beautifully nuanced performances on television today. We congratulate Vince, Peter, our producers, writers, and cast on a remarkable run and look forward to sharing this final chapter with fans.”

]]>Better Call Saul will return in February for its fifth and final season. Fans have no idea yet whether there will be any overlap with the Breaking Bad timeline or whether the prequel will finish up where Walter White’s story begins.
The new teaser is only a couple of seconds long but it is enough to get us excited about the final season. The clip shows a closeup of Saul Goodman. When the camera zooms out, we see the picture is actually of Saul’s business card being held by a man in handcuffs.
The teaser hints at Jimmie’s descent from criminal lawyer into criminal lawyer is near. It’s unclear whether the character in handcuffs is a character we have seen before.
You can view the clip below.
The fifth and final season of Better Call Saul will air February 23 via AMC.
