Made for Love returned to HBO Max for its second season earlier this spring, but we won’t be getting any more episodes of this sci-fi black comedy. The streamer canceled the show, and its second season will serve as the series finale.

Made for Love followed a journey of a young woman Hazel Green (Cristin Milioti), who decides to escape her 10-year marriage to a tech billionaire Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen) after realizing he planted a chip in her brain that can track her every move.

In an official statement announcing the show’s cancelation, HBO Max representatives said this show will always be on their minds and thanked the mastermind behind it for making it happen.

“We are tremendously grateful for the truly spectacular journey of these past two seasons, courtesy of Alissa Nutting, Christina Lee, Cristin, Billy, Ray, and the entire Made for Love cast and creative team – especially Zelda the talking dolphin and everyone’s favorite synthetic love interest, Diane,” reads HBO Max’s statement.

In addition to Milioti and Magnussen, Made for Love also starred Ray Romano, Dan Bakkedahl, Noma Dumezweni, Augusto Aguilera, and Caleb Foote. The announcement of its cancelations comes on the heels of the Season 2 finale, which aired on May 19 and now serves as the series finale.

Disney+ is working on an Aladdin spinoff but with a very surprising focus.

The forthcoming spin-off will center on a character, which did not appear in the original animated classic and was created for the 2019 live-action film, Billy Magnussen’s Prince Anders.

In case you’re one of the only people who hasn’t watch the billion-dollar live-action remake — Magnussen played Prince Anders who vied for Princess Jasmine’s (Naomi Scott) hand in marriage.

Disney+ has hired Jordan Dunn and Michael Kvamme to pen a script for the offshoot film. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, who produced Aladdin, are back in the same capacity via their banner Rideback, Rideback’s Ryan Halprin will executive produce.

The news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

It was recently announced Alessandro Nivola will be taking the lead in the upcoming Sopranos prequel movie, but he’s no longer the only actor attached to this project. Vera Farmiga and Jon Bernthal are also among the actors joining him on this journey.

The Many Saints of Newark will take a look at Tony Soprano’s formative years, before he became one of the most infamous gangsters in New Jersey. It will be set in the era of the Newark riots in the 60s, when racial conflicts in this New Jersey city became lethal for everyone involved.

Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) and Jon Bernthal (The Punisher) aren’t the only actors to recently join the cast. The Many Saints of Newark will also star Billy Magnussen (Maniac) and Corey Stoll (House of Cards). It’s still unclear if they’ll play brand new characters or younger versions of the heroes we already know and love.

Emmy winner Alan Taylor will be in charge of directing this project, based on a script by the Sopranos creator David Chase and his frequent collaborator Lawrence Konner.
