Batman’s voiceover references the central plot point of the film—The Flash/Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) using his superpowers to travel back in time in an attempt to save his parents’ lives. He ends up inadvertently altering the future and finds himself trapped in a reality where General Zod (Michael Shannon) returned to power.
The Flash is expected to feature cameos from several DCU heroes, including Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. The cast will also include Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, and Antje Traue.
The Flash dazzled the audience and the critics at its CinemaCon premiere, and it’s expected to hit the theatres on June 16.

]]>In The Flash, Barry Allen uses his super-speed to travel back in time to prevent his mother’s murder. His attempt to change the events of the past backfires after he ends up altering the future, and finds himself stuck in a reality where there are no superheroes to turn to for help after General Zod has returned, threatening their annihilation.
The Flash is the latest film to toy with the idea of the multiverse, and it will see both Michael Keaton and Ban Affleck return as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The cast will also include Michael Shannon as General Zod, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú as Barry Allen’s parents, and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West.
After multiple delays caused by the global pandemic and post-production setbacks, The Flash will premiere on June 16. Miller previously made a cameo as Barry Allen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad before playing a bigger role in Justice League.

]]>The Flash movie is written by Christina Hodson and directed by AndyMuschietti. It will unlock the DC multiverse and Miller’s Barry Allen moving from the boundaries of fictional space and time. Barry’s timeline-hopping allows him to shift from his cinematic universe where Batman is played by Ben Affleck who appeared with Miller in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and into an alternative universe where Batman is played by Michael Keaton, who played the original Batman in 1989’s Batman and 1992’s Batman Returns.
Kiersey Clemons is playing Barry’s love interest Iris West, a character she originated for 2017’s Justice League but was cut after Zack Snyder left the film and was then brought back after Snyder released his four-hour cut of Justice League. Billy Crudup, who played Barry’s father Henry in the 2017 and 2021 versions of Justice League, has been replaced by Ron Livingston for the film.
In the clip, Keaton’s Bruce Wayne asks Barry why he would want to save his own, with his ability to move through timelines. Wayne’s speech is shown with footage of Barry returning home where his mother (Maribel Verdú) is still alive, but in his universe, she was killed and his father was wrongfully convicted.
The Flash is scheduled to be released on November 4, 2022. Watch the trailer below.
