]]>Paramore previously postponed four dates on their ongoing This Is Why Tour due to Williams’ illness. They were hoping to get back on the road after she recovered, but taking a week off of performing and following a strict medication routine didn’t give her enough time to heal.
Williams eventually decided to cancel the remaining U.S. shows after consulting with her doctor. She was risking long-term damage if she decided to move on and apologized to fans for disappointing them with this decision.
“We are so sorry to all of you who were so patient with us as we rescheduled these. I physically can not go on. I know this isn’t great news for anyone. Thank you so much for your continued support,” wrote Williams in a statement.
Paramore is expected to go back to performing in November when the This Is Why Tour is scheduled to continue in Australia and New Zealand. They’ll also open for Taylor Swift on the European leg of The Eras Tour next year.

Back in February after a fan asked her if she’d written more songs for her latest surprise solo album that was released in February, Williams said she wasn’t planning on making another solo record, but would be focusing on Paramore.
“There are more songs, yeah. but I’m not planning on another solo album. and I’m not sure if they’d be great for Paramore. I’m ready for the next Paramore album. let’s go,” she wrote on Twitter.
Paramore’s last album, After Laughter, was released in May 2017.

“There are more songs, yeah. but I’m not planning on another solo album. and I’m not sure if they’d be great for Paramore. I’m ready for the next Paramore album. let’s go,” wrote the singer on Twitter.
The latest Paramore album After Laughter came out all the way back in 2017, and Williams has been pretty busy working on solo material in the aftermath of its release. Her debut solo album Petals for Armor came out last spring, but she discussed the future of Paramore on several occasions and said their next studio album will mark the return to their pop-punk roots.

]]>Petals for Armor II features four previously released tracks “Roses/Lotus/Iris/Violet,” “Why We Ever,” “Over Yet” and “My Friend” and one brand-new song titled “Dead Horse” – all of which are expected to be featured on her full-length album.
The “Paramore” singer described this EP as the perfect interlude between where Petals began and where it’s going and explained what these five songs meant to her.
“I needed these songs to help me get to a place where I could name my shame, take inventory of emotional scars, true friends, awful coping mechanisms and discover what I desire for my life,” said Williams in a statement.
Petals for Armor is expected to be released on May 8th, and it will also feature previously released singles “Simmer” and “Leave It Alone”.

]]>This deeply personal song will be featured on her album Petals for Armor, scheduled to be released on May 8th. Williams wrote this album alongside some of the people who are really close to her, and she believes their respective talents shine bright throughout this record.
“I like to think we all make each other better and the result is something that sounds and feels exactly as I’d hoped it would. Now that it’s time to put it all out there, I can finally exhale. I’m excited to let people in to experience a different side of myself that I’ve only very recently become familiar with,” Williams said in a statement.
The Paramore singer also described the process of writing this record as a scary, empowering experience and said it led to some of her proudest moments as a lyricist. The music video for “Simmer” perfectly encapsulates her scary journey of self-discovery and shows Williams being chased by an unknown figure, only to discover it was herself all along.

]]>The singer has been at the front of Paramore since founding the group with Zac Farro in 2004, but has decided that the time is right to release some solo stuff. But don’t worry, she isn’t leaving the band.
Paramore released their last album, After Laughter, in 2017 and Hayley revealed that the rockers have been taking some downtime since 2018. Throughout the band’s 15 year tenure, the lead vocalist has lent her voice to other projects such as “Airplanes” by B.O.B. and “Stay the Night” with Zedd.
But now it is time for Hayley.
The front woman made the announcement a day after she turned 31 on December 27th. In response to all the birthday well wishes, Hayley told her fans that the year to come will be important as she drops a few solo tracks.
“Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes. 30 was a very important year. 31 will be too,” she wrote. “I’m putting out some music next year,” she wrote before seemingly crossing it out. “With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own. It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January.”
We can hardly wait.
