Paramore had a few more U.S. dates left on their This Is Why Tour before taking a break from performing until fall, but they had to cut it short. They announced the cancelation of their remaining U.S. dates this summer following Hayley Williams’ lung infection.

Paramore previously postponed four dates on their ongoing This Is Why Tour due to Williams’ illness. They were hoping to get back on the road after she recovered, but taking a week off of performing and following a strict medication routine didn’t give her enough time to heal.

Williams eventually decided to cancel the remaining U.S. shows after consulting with her doctor. She was risking long-term damage if she decided to move on and apologized to fans for disappointing them with this decision.

“We are so sorry to all of you who were so patient with us as we rescheduled these. I physically can not go on. I know this isn’t great news for anyone. Thank you so much for your continued support,” wrote Williams in a statement.

Paramore is expected to go back to performing in November when the This Is Why Tour is scheduled to continue in Australia and New Zealand. They’ll also open for Taylor Swift on the European leg of The Eras Tour next year.
