]]>For the sequel, LeBron James is replacing Michael Jordan, playing a heightened version of himself, who struggles to connect with his tech-savvy son Dom (Ceyair J. Wright). While trying to steal some of the basketball player’s social media followers, a CGI humanoid named Al G Rhythm (Don Cheadle) sucks the duo into a virtual reality called the “Warner 3000 entertainment Server-verse”. In order for Dom to escape the Server-verse, James must defeat the Goon Squad. To take on the challenge, James reunites the Toon Squad, which includes Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny, Marvin the Martian, Porky Pig, Roadrunner, and the rest of the Looney Tunes.
This film will be the first theatrically released one to feature the Looney Tunes characters since 2003’s Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
The cast includes Zendaya, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe. Many NBA and WNBA players will be making cameo appearances, including Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, Diana Taurasi, and Nneka Ogwumike.
Space Jam: A New Legacy is set to be released on HBO Max and in theatres on July 16. Check out the trailer below.

]]>It’s time to slam now because Space Jam 2 is officially Space Jam: A New Legacy.
The official title was revealed by NBA superstar LeBron James on Thursday.
The Lakers player posted a video of himself Thursday wearing a hat with the logo of Space Jam: A New Legacy, the title of the Looney Tunes sequel. The film’s official Twitter page reposted the vid later that day, so we’ll take that as a confirmation.
The sequel to the 1996 animated film is directed by Night School helmer Malcolm D. Lee.
The original film starred Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, Shawn Bradley, and Muggsy Bogues. It’s safe to assume that the sequel will also star current NBA players, but now official castings have been announced.

And the last two items on that list came together in the hit movie, Space Jam.
The film merged animation and live action to bring us a story about Michael being enlisted by Bugs Bunny and other members of the Looney Tunes to help them win an intergalactic basketball game against a team of mean aliens.
Fast forward 22 years where it has now been announced that a sequel to Space Jam is on the cards!
Michael Jordan is no longer the MVP — replaced, instead, by LeBron James who will also produce.

The film will also be produced by Black Panther filmmaker, Ryan Coogler, while Terence Nance of Random Acts of Flyness is set to direct.
Let’s hope they’ve been practising their shooting skills!
