At a time when we all needed an addictive new show to be excited about, this intertwined tale of two families set in the opulent neighborhood of Shaker Heights gave us just that.

]]>The teaser finally gives us a first look at the highly anticipated Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington team-up. Little Fires Everywhere, based on the 2017 book of the same name, tells the story of “the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic daughter who upend their lives.”
Per the logline, the story “explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood — and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.”
Starring as the family patriarch is The Affair alum Joshua Jackson, with the mother played by Witherspoon. Washington plays Mia, a single mother who moves into one of Elena’s (Witherspoon) rental properties, while Lexi Underwood plays Mia’s daughter Pearl.
Little Fires Everywhere premieres March 18 on Hulu.

The series is based on Celeste Ng’s 2017 bestselling novel of the same name. The story follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives,” according to the logline. “The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood — and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.”
Back when the series was ordered, Witherspoon said of the project, “At Hello Sunshine, we strive to shine a light on female-driven stories that are rooted in inspiration, emotion, and truth – all of which form the bedrock of Celeste Ng’s ingenious work.”

Little Fires Everywhere was developed and written by Liz Tigelaar. It hails from Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Washington’s Simpson Street and ABC Signature Studios.
The series follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother (Washington) and daughter (Lexi Underwood) who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood — and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.
Jackson will play Bill Richardson, a Shaker Heights attorney who hails from modest means, Bill is the perfectly suited counterweight to his energetic and strong-willed wife, Elena (Witherspoon). But when Bill agrees to represent their friends in a fiery custody battle, the couple begins to fight about more than just their challenging youngest daughter, Izzy (Megan Stott).
