Joshua Jackson has been added to the cast of Amazon’s Little Fires Everywhere as a series regular.

He’s joined Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon in the forthcoming eight-episode series based on Celeste Ng’s bestselling book of the same name.

Little Fires Everywhere was developed and written by Liz Tigelaar. It hails from Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Washington’s Simpson Street and ABC Signature Studios.

The series follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother (Washington) and daughter (Lexi Underwood) who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood — and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.

Jackson will play Bill Richardson, a Shaker Heights attorney who hails from modest means, Bill is the perfectly suited counterweight to his energetic and strong-willed wife, Elena (Witherspoon). But when Bill agrees to represent their friends in a fiery custody battle, the couple begins to fight about more than just their challenging youngest daughter, Izzy (Megan Stott).

The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the news.
