The streaming service dropped the first teaser for its adaptation of Celeste Ng’s bestseller Little Fires Everywhere.
The teaser finally gives us a first look at the highly anticipated Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington team-up. Little Fires Everywhere, based on the 2017 book of the same name, tells the story of “the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic daughter who upend their lives.”
Per the logline, the story “explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood — and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster.”
Starring as the family patriarch is The Affair alum Joshua Jackson, with the mother played by Witherspoon. Washington plays Mia, a single mother who moves into one of Elena’s (Witherspoon) rental properties, while Lexi Underwood plays Mia’s daughter Pearl.
Little Fires Everywhere premieres March 18 on Hulu.
