The Continental will look at the origin behind the hotel-for-assassins through Winston Scott, who is in a 1975 New York City and faces his past he thought he left behind. He goes through a deadly course through New York’s underworld in an attempt to seize the hotel, which is the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.

Gibson is set to play Cormac, but no details have been released about his character. Previously it was announced that The Continental will be a three-night event series and no premiere date is set.

The series comes from Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward, who also serve as showrunners. Chad Stahelski, Derek Kolstad, David Leitch, Shawn Simmons, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, Basil Iwanyk, and Erica Lee serve as executive producers.

This is Gibson’s first regular TV role. He was in the Australian series The Sullivans in the 1970s and made appearances in other shows. Gibson is mostly known for his film roles which include the Lethal Weapon and Mad Max franchises, Braveheart, The Patriot, and Signs.

The three John Wick films made over $300 million at the global box office, according to Variety. A fourth film is filming and is set to be released on May 27, 2022.

Talks about the movie have been going on for some years, and now Jim Caviezel, the actor who played Jesus in the first movie, confirmed in an interview that it is indeed in the making.

“Mel Gibson just sent me the third picture, the third draft. It’s coming,” he said. “It’s called The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection. It’s going to be the biggest film in world history.” 

When the original movie was released Critics were divided. While some found the story moving, others criticized the movie for its historical inaccuracies and excessive violence.

It should be noted that no official confirmation of the sequel being in production was released.

Leo From Toledo tells the story of a former killer for the Kansas City mob, now hiding in witness protection, who has trouble with his memory. 

Per the official logline: ”What he does remember he wants to forget. But what he has forgotten has now made him a hunted man with precious little time to save the one thing he has left: his estranged daughter and granddaughter.”

“Leo is the kind of movie I love to make, it’s funny and heartfelt with a ton of great action. Being able to work with Mel, and Frank again is a real gift. It rarely happens that you get to make films with the people you love and respect, so I consider myself blessed. I feel like Leo is a ‘return to form’ of sorts for Mel. The script allows him to be both funny and dramatic at different turns and I can’t wait to see what he does with that character,” Carnahan said.

The 1969 classic Western was directed by Sam Peckinpah followed an aging group of outlaws look for one last big score as the wild west is losing its place to the industrial age. The original starred Wiliam Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, Edmond O’Brien, Warren Oates, Jaime Sanchez and Ben Johnson.

Gibson will also pen the script alongside Bryan Bagby as well as serving as executive producer. 

It is still unknown if the remake will be a straightforward remake or opt to veer off the original story.

When it comes to actors who are considered Hollywood’s leading men, the numbers are not so great. For example, Fight Club star Brad Pitt only returns ten cents per every dollar spent, which makes him the least profitable actor in Hollywood. Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp brings 20 cents, while Hollywood legend Robert De Niro returns 24 cents for every dollar.

Although the research didn’t have the extended data for actresses since “women, unfortunately, are less likely to be the top-billed actor for a movie,” PartyCasino’s analysts found that Rose Byrne is the most profitable actress in Hollywood, bringing $9.80 for every $1.
