Waddingham will be in pretty good company on the set of Dead Reckoning Part 2. In addition to Tom Cruise, the film also stars Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, and Nick Offerman.
Dead Reckoning Part 2 will hit the theatres on June 28, 2024, and it serves as the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, set to be released this summer. McQuarrie wrote and directed both films and he’s producing them alongside Cruise.
Waddingham will soon return as the AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton in the third Season of Ted Lasso. She’s also attached to several more exciting projects, including the action thriller The Fall Guy and the CG-animated movie Garfield.

]]>The Florida-born actor possesses a rich filmography that includes a combination of films and series. Most notable for starring in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire for four years, he was also in Fargo, the Fast & Furious franchise, The Wolf of Wall Street, and most recently, Joker.
Whigham’s next project may very well be impossible… He has been confirmed to star in the upcoming Mission: Impossible films.
Having first begun in 1996, the series follows Impossible Missions Force agent, Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise. The last two films have been helmed by Christopher McQuarrie who will once again direct the upcoming seventh and eighth in the franchise.
Whigham will likely have a substantial role in the series as McQuarrie has revealed that he will be joining for both movies 7 and 8 which have yet to be titled.
“You won’t see him coming… #MI78,” the director captioned a suave black and white picture of the actor in the Twitter announcement.
The upcoming films are set to be shot back-to-back, with Agent Carter actress, Hayley Atwell, also having signed on.
They are set for release in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

]]>Cruise shared the amazing news by posting a short teaser video on his Twitter. The two upcoming movies in this popular franchise will be filmed back to back and they should hit theaters sometime in 2020 and 2021.
That’s pretty much the only thing we know about them at this point – apart from the fact they’ll be directed by Christopher McQuarrie. He’s Cruise’s frequent collaborator, who already worked on the previous two installments in this series – Rogue Nation and Fallout.
Unlike the majority of action franchises, Mission: Impossible never lost its groove and only got better as the years went by.
Making a better action movie than Fallout sounds like a mission impossible, but Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie are the dream team that could get this done.

]]>The first reviews of Christopher McQuarrie’s latest addition to the M.I. franchise have been released and they are overwhelmingly positive.
Although typically considered a reliable franchise when it comes to action-packed entertainment, as the sixth installment of the franchise, there was the worry that the story would become stale. According to critics, however, M.I.: Fallout is the most exhilarating movie yet.
IndieWire gave it notably high praise, stating: “It doesn’t take long to recognize that Mission: Impossible — Fallout is one of the best action movies ever made.”
Variety called it the “most exciting installment yet” and Digital Spy said: “With impeccable stuntwork and crisp direction, Fallout delivers intense and thrilling set pieces that pack a punch with a weight and realism that few other blockbusters can match. What’s more, each one feels like something other action movies might use for a climax. Here though, a skydive through a lightning storm or an extended foot chase through and above London is just the warm-up.”
The action hit sees Tom Cruise reprise his role as top agent Ethan Hunt. Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Rebecca Ferguson also star as fellow IMF agents.
At present, the movie rates 9.5/10 and 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie will be released to the general public in local cinemas later this month.
