]]>Paramore previously postponed four dates on their ongoing This Is Why Tour due to Williams’ illness. They were hoping to get back on the road after she recovered, but taking a week off of performing and following a strict medication routine didn’t give her enough time to heal.
Williams eventually decided to cancel the remaining U.S. shows after consulting with her doctor. She was risking long-term damage if she decided to move on and apologized to fans for disappointing them with this decision.
“We are so sorry to all of you who were so patient with us as we rescheduled these. I physically can not go on. I know this isn’t great news for anyone. Thank you so much for your continued support,” wrote Williams in a statement.
Paramore is expected to go back to performing in November when the This Is Why Tour is scheduled to continue in Australia and New Zealand. They’ll also open for Taylor Swift on the European leg of The Eras Tour next year.

Williams discussed the meaning of this song in a Genius interview and explained it explores the idea that we don’t have enough time to fix everything and the struggle to pick a specific problem to focus our energy on when the whole world seems to be burning.
“I feel like my sense of anxiety around time management has gotten worse since the pandemic. It was so much tragedy, so much heavy, dark s—t happening, and then also just stillness. The stillness part of it, I wish I could keep and take with me, but that’s not real life,” she explained.
“Running Out of Time” was released as the fourth single from Paramore’s new studio album This Is Why. It’s their first LP in six years and it received universal acclaim following its release on February 10.

“There are more songs, yeah. but I’m not planning on another solo album. and I’m not sure if they’d be great for Paramore. I’m ready for the next Paramore album. let’s go,” she wrote on Twitter.
Paramore’s last album, After Laughter, was released in May 2017.

“There are more songs, yeah. but I’m not planning on another solo album. and I’m not sure if they’d be great for Paramore. I’m ready for the next Paramore album. let’s go,” wrote the singer on Twitter.
The latest Paramore album After Laughter came out all the way back in 2017, and Williams has been pretty busy working on solo material in the aftermath of its release. ]]>The singer has been at the front of Paramore since founding the group with Zac Farro in 2004, but has decided that the time is right to release some solo stuff. But don’t worry, she isn’t leaving the band.
Paramore released their last album, After Laughter, in 2017 and Hayley revealed that the rockers have been taking some downtime since 2018. Throughout the band’s 15 year tenure, the lead vocalist has lent her voice to other projects such as “Airplanes” by B.O.B. and “Stay the Night” with Zedd.
But now it is time for Hayley.
The front woman made the announcement a day after she turned 31 on December 27th. In response to all the birthday well wishes, Hayley told her fans that the year to come will be important as she drops a few solo tracks.
“Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes. 30 was a very important year. 31 will be too,” she wrote. “I’m putting out some music next year,” she wrote before seemingly crossing it out. “With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own. It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January.”
We can hardly wait.

]]>The alternative rock band released its track, Misery Business, in 2007 as the first single from its sophomore album, Riot!
The song became the band’s first to sell more than 20,000 copies in the UK and peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Now, the track which has been credited with introducing the Tennessee group to mainstream audiences will no longer be played at their shows.
During their concert at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium on Friday, Paramore’s frontwoman, Hayley Williams, said, “Tonight, we’re playing the song for the last time for a really long time. This is a choice that we have made because we feel that we should. We feel like it’s time to move away from it for a little while.”
The decision is believed to have been prompted by the lyrics in the second verse which state: “Second chances, they don’t ever matter, people never change / Once a whore, you’re nothing more, I’m sorry that’ll never change.”
“Misery Business‘ is not a set of lyrics that I relate to as a 26-year-old woman. I haven’t related to it in a very long time,” Hayley wrote on Tumblr in 2015. “Those words were written when I was 17… admittedly, from a very narrow-minded perspective. It wasn’t really meant to be this big philosophical statement about anything. It was quite literally a page in my diary about a singular moment I experienced as a high schooler.”
Before launching into the song for the final time, 29-year-old said, “This is to every bad decision that led us here. This is to all the embarrassing things we might have said. But we owned up to it, and we grew.”
