]]>Multiple outlets report that the network gave The Lost Boys a green light, just like it did during the last pilot season. The order for a series reboot of the 1987 film was also given during the 2019-2020 season but the network ultimately passed.
According to Variety, the new version follows a mother and her Gen Z sons as they move to the seaside town where she grew up. There they discover there’s a sinister reason the local cool kids sleep all day, party all night, never grow up and never get old. Family bonds are tested as the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of a mythological struggle.
The new pilot hails from Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas who serve as writers and executive producers. It is reported that cast members from the first pilot are also attached to the new one.

Friend and Lerner will pen the series, which according to the outlet will explore the three parallel lives of the show’s main character after he makes a pivotal choice at a crossroads in his life, per Deadline. The series asks the question of how different life might look if you made your decision based on love, loyalty or passion.
According to the outlet, Reeves originally wrote a pilot script based on the idea more than a decade ago.

]]>The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the CW is moving forward with a Batwoman stand-alone series.
The new of a pilot order was announced Thursday. Emmy-winning Game of Thrones director is on board to direct the pilot. Also tapped for the production are showrunner and writer Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries) and exec producer Greg Berlanti.
The pilot order has also made history as Rose’s Batwoman marks the first gay lead character of a live-action superhero series played by an openly gay Rose.
