Lady Gaga has given us one of the best albums of the year with Chromatica, and awards have been coming her way ever since. After dominating MTV VMAs in August, she topped the list of MTV Europe Music Awards nominations with seven nods.

Lady Gaga owes the majority of her nominations to the Ariana Grande collaboration “Rain on Me”, which received nods for best song, best video, and best collaboration. The “Poker Face” singer is also in the running for best artists, best pop, best U.S. act, and biggest fans awards.

Lady Gaga will have tough competition in BTS, Roddy Ricch, and Justin Bieber, who managed to score five nods each. The list of major contenders also includes DaBaby, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Karol G, with a total of four nominations each.

The 2020 MTV EMAs will be held on November 8th. At this point in time, it’s still unclear if the ceremony will have a pre-recorded virtual format like the VMAs.

DaBaby and Roddy Ricch already spent a couple of weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with their hit single “Rockstar” and they finally dropped the highly-anticipated music video for the chart-topping track.

The apocalyptic visual was directed by the creative team Reel Goats. It shows the two rappers heavily armed as they hunt for zombies in the middle of the woods. The video wraps up with hilarious bloopers and behind the scene clips, which are even more fun to watch.

“Rockstar” was released on April 24th, as the second single from DaBaby’s new album Blame It on Baby. In addition to collaborating with Roddy Ricch, he joined forces with several other artists, including Quavo, Megan Thee Stallion, and Future.

“Rockstar” reached no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its seventh week, and returned to that spot on several occasions. It also hit no. 1 in several other countries, including Australia and the UK.

Several singles released by Doja Cat became huge hits thanks to their viral success on TikTok, but one of them is finally heading to the top of the charts. The rising hip-hop star finally scored her first top 5 spot in the US with “Say So”.

“Say So” was released on January 28th, and it’s been steadily climbing the charts ever since. Like several of the previous singles by Doja Cat, it owes its success to the viral TikTok dance challenge that propelled this track to international fame.

In addition to becoming the singer’s first top-five hit on Billboard Hot 100, it also reached no. 1 on US Rhythmic chart and made it to top 10 in Australia, Canada, The UK, and a number of other countries in Europe.

When it comes to the rest of the Hot 100 chart for this week, The Weeknd managed to dethrone Drake’s viral hit “Toosie Slide”, and return to the top spot with “Blinding Lights”. They were followed by Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” at no. 3 and Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” at no. 4.
