]]>According to The Sun four members of the band—Geri Horner (Ginger Spice), Melanie C (Sport Spice), Mel B (Scary Spice), and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice)—have approached a screenwriter about a follow-up to their film.
The reported project would mark the group’s 25th anniversary next year. The Spice Girls have reunited on several occasions including for the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony and a 13-date tour across the UK and Ireland in 2019 without Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice).
The Sun reported that the sequel is being spearheaded by the group’s manager Horner.
“The girls have been talking about how to mark the film’s anniversary and are actively considering making a tongue-in-cheek sequel. They have approached a screenwriter who is considering working on the project and making tentative steps forward. It is still in the early stages but they are talking to established names in the business, which proves they are taking a big screen comeback seriously,” a source told the outlet.
The original film starred the band as well as Richard E. Grant, Meat Loaf and Sir Elton John.

]]>The long-overdue Spice Girls reunion happened this year. The 2000s girl group reformed to play a series of shows across the UK. These sold out pretty quickly, even without Victoria Beckham (Post Spice) joining the tour.
Now, as the tour comes to an end, Mel B is hoping that the girls can get together once more in 2020. This time, she is determined to get Posh Spice onboard and the ultimate goal is Glastonbury.
Mel B told Grazia: “I am always going to hold a candle that we can get back on stage together. I’ve always supported that and it worked because we all did it this year together. Well, four of us. I even sent a text this week to everyone saying, ‘Come on, are we going to do something again or what?’ We need to.”
Speaking about the 2019 reunion, she said: “I don’t want it to end. It was me who spent years and years nagging the rest of them to get back out there.
”Now we’ve done it, and we loved it. I’m going to make sure there will be more…But my plan is for all five of us to do Glastonbury next year for the 50th anniversary. I’m in the process of persuading Victoria to do it. And I will make it happen.”
The Spice Girls are on tour now but unfortunately, if you don’t already have tickets, you’re going to have to join the rest of the disappointed fans who couldn’t snap them up fast enough either.

When the band announced last November that they would finally be doing a reunion tour more than two decades after their split, Adele was here for it!
“HA! This is how I feel right now!” she captioned the photo of herself as a young child. “I AM READY.”
Eight months later, Adele returned to Wembley Stadium — 21 years after first seeing the Spice Girls — to watch their final performance.
The Grammy award winner shared videos and snaps of the night, including her singing on the way to the venue, her and her mates jamming to “Spice Up Your Life”, and even a selfie with fellow ginger (spice), Geri Horner.
“Tonight with my nearest and dearest I cried, laughed, screamed, danced, reminisced and fell back in love with my 10-year-old self,” she wrote. “It’s no secret how much I love them, how much they inspired me to run for my life and never look back. I finally got to meet Ginger, I got drunk with the girls and quite frankly I can’t believe how far I’ve come thank you for the madness I get to live, I couldn’t have got here without you 5 BRITISH legends! I love you!”
