The Kominsky Method was created by Chuck Lorre who serves as executive producer with Al Higgins and Michael Douglas.
In its first season, the series won many awards including the Golden Globe for best comedy series in 2019 and Douglas won the Globe for best actor in a comedy series.
“The Kominsky Method has been a true passion project for me and it’s been an incredible experience to see the warm response from both audiences and critics. I’m excited to wrap up the story with this final chapter,” Lorre said in a statement.

]]>The Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated comedy series hails from Chuck Lorre and stars Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin as Sandy Kominsky and his longtime agent and friend Norman Newlander. The series follows the two “tackling life’s curveballs as seniors while living in Los Angeles, a city that values youth.”
The clip unveiled by the streaming giant sees Douglas’ Sandy meeting with his daughter’s new, older boyfriend, played by Paul Reiser. But when Mindy (Sarah Baker) tells Sandy that the two have a lot in common, he finds himself replying: “Sure, we both dodged polio.”
Nancy Travis also returns to the second season cast with Jane Seymour on as a guest star.
Season 2 of The Kominsky Method returns to Netflix on October 25.

]]>The Kominsky Method centers on a washed up actor Sandy Kominsky, who runs an acting studio, and his long-time agent Norman. It stars Hollywood veterans Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, who couldn’t say no to this Netflix comedy after Chuck Lorre gave them a call.
Douglas jumped on board after reading the script, despite the fact he hasn’t played a lead on TV in four decades. This project provided him with an opportunity to return to the small screen in a meaningful and steady way, and he embraced it with open arms.
“I hadn’t seen writing like this in a feature film. I thought, this is just a great opportunity to work with the great comedy stuff and learn a little more about timing. I’m always a sucker susceptible to a good comedy,” explained Douglas.
