It’s been only two months since Netflix started streaming The Kominsky Method, but this show already has two Golden Globes under its belt. It was just a matter of time before it was renewed for the second season, and that moment finally came.
The Kominsky Method centers on a washed up actor Sandy Kominsky, who runs an acting studio, and his long-time agent Norman. It stars Hollywood veterans Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, who couldn’t say no to this Netflix comedy after Chuck Lorre gave them a call.
Douglas jumped on board after reading the script, despite the fact he hasn’t played a lead on TV in four decades. This project provided him with an opportunity to return to the small screen in a meaningful and steady way, and he embraced it with open arms.
“I hadn’t seen writing like this in a feature film. I thought, this is just a great opportunity to work with the great comedy stuff and learn a little more about timing. I’m always a sucker susceptible to a good comedy,” explained Douglas.
