]]>In addition to Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) and Levi (Shazam!), the cast of the new Spy Kids will also include child actors Everly Carganilla and Connor Esterson. The new film will shift focus on a different family, and here’s what the official logline has to say about it:
“When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world.”
Robert Rodriguez is coming on board as the film’s writer, director, and producer, and this isn’t his first family-friendly Netflix movie. His film We Can Be Hero was a huge hit on this streaming platform in 2020, and its sequel is on the way, but he won’t return as a director.
The first Spy Kids film was released in 2002, and its principal cast included Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Alexa Vega, and Daryl Sabara. It was followed by three more movies, concluding with Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 2011.

]]>The Hall of Fame quarterback played in the NFL from 1994 to 2008 and he was a two-time NFL MVP and a Super Bowl MVP. He’s also regarded as one of the top undrafted players in NFL history.
The screenplay is based on interviews with Warner and his memoir All Things Possible: My Story of Faith, Football, and the First Miracle Season.
“Kurt’s story is one of relentless faith — in his own abilities but even more so in a higher power,” said Levi. “When I read Kurt’s story, I identified with the quiet strength he found to persevere – that’s something I think anybody can recognize in their own lives. This is the kind of underdog story that sports movies are all about, and the fact that it’s true makes it even more special. I’m thrilled to be part of bringing his story to audiences.”
Levi’s TV roles include Shazam!, Chuck, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. His upcoming roles include Under Cover and Prisoner 760 with Jodie Foster and Benedict Cumberbatch.

]]>The charming actor proved that he is definitely Prince Charming quality when he took part in the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend which involved celebrities visiting patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri to raise funds for the facility.
During his visit, the Shazam! star proved himself as the real-life superhero he is by embodying one of his on-screen characters — Flynn Ryder.
Flynn was the love interest to Mandy Moore’s Rapunzel in 2010’s Tangled.
In the CGI film, Zachary got to show off his impressive singing skills, and he did so again by serenading 15-year-old patient, Sophia Linenberger.
The heart-melting scene of the 38-year-old singing “I See the Light” from the Disney flick at the teenager’s bedside could easily have been straight out of a movie.
We guess not all heroes wear capes…

]]>When Ben Affleck heard about a young Zimbabwean refugee battling cancer who was a huge fan of the dark knight, the Justice League actor decided to have Batman pay Mukuta a visit.
After having enthusiastically expressed his love of the superhero, the staff at Hospice Atlanta, where the 11-year-old is receiving care for the terminal illness, put out a Bat Signal.
And Batman obliged.
Ben, who is currently in Hawaii, took a break from his filming schedule on Triple Frontier to have a FaceTime conversation with Mukuta.
And if talking to Batman wasn’t enough, the father of 3 also arranged for Mukuta’s mom to fly from Zimbabwe to be with her son.
The heroic gesture also caught the attention of Blood Fest actor who remarked on Twitter that not all superheroes wear capes:
Not all heroes wear capes. Though, coincidentally, some do. Bravo, @BenAffleck. And continued prayers for Mukuta. https://t.co/ZWTpzDqsM2

We can’t claim that Ben saved the day, but we’re pretty sure that he made Mukuta’s.

]]>A Fox News TV anchor made an appeal to the Twitterverse on behalf of a terminally ill little boy whose dying wish is to meet one of Marvel’s Avengers.
“[Emilio’s] uncle sat next to me on a flight a few weeks ago,” said Shannon Bream. “He reached out yesterday, and I don’t really have Hollywood friends but I said I’d give it a try. I sent the tweet and said a prayer.”
Need your help Twitterverse – trying to help a young boy who is dying. He probably has just days and all he want is a greeting from one of the Avengers. If you have a celeb connection, please let me know. Otherwise, could you help out with a RT? Thank you in advance!
— Shannon Bream (@ShannonBream) March 25, 2018
The tweet proved to be as good as a call from Tony Stark himself, as Chris Evans and Paul Rudd — aka Captain America and Ant-Man — responded within hours by sending videos for Emilio.
And although not technically an Avenger, Deadpool star, Ryan Reynolds, offered his services too.
I’m more of a “Reserve Avenger”. But happy to help. DM me.

Following suit was Thor actor, Zachary Levi, who promised to provide his best impression of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt.
I’m not technically an Avenger, but I’d be happy to record a video for the little man and do my best impressions of @ChrisEvans @prattprattpratt @chrishemsworth or any other Chris if necessary. Where can I/we send these messages, and what’s his name?! https://t.co/jBTOepXzOf
