The series’ plot is taking place in a not so far future, in which the United States of America was torn apart by a second civil war and Manhattan became a DMZ—a demilitarized zone. 

Dawson will portray Alma Ortega who tries to find her son after separating from him when the city was evacuated. In her journey, she has to deal with numerous gangs and warlords fighting to control the DMZ. Bratt will portray one of the gang leaders who strive for world domination. Other actors tied to the projects are Hoon Lee, Freddy Miyares, and Jordan Preston Carter.

Patino said that DMZ is an explosive playground in which the power of community and the human spirit are celebrated. He expressed his admiration of the cast and his partner DuVernay, who he referred to as “inimitable and ever-inspiring”.

It should be noted that the original comics creator Brian Wood, who wrote the comics and illustrated it with Riccardo Burchielli, is not involved in the project. The announcement also did not mention the Journalist Matty Roth, one of the main protagonists in the comics.

According to the press release by WarnerMedia, O’Brien and his team will move the show to HBO Max. According to O’Brien, he is looking forward to continuing doing whatever he does on the new platform (and getting free service). “In 1993 Johnny Carson gave me the best advice of my career: ‘As soon as possible, get to a streaming platform’,” said O’Brien.

It seems the feeling is mutual. Calling O’Brien’s comedy “energetic, relatable, and at times, absurdist”, HBO and HBO Max CEO Casey Bloys said that the network cannot wait to see what O’Brien and Team Coco will come up with while working at their new home.

O’Brien is an alumnus of both Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. For the last 28 years, he has hosted some kind of a late-night talk show. He has hosted The Tonight Show on NBC and his self-titled show on TBS. He also hosts his own podcast.

Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman were asked by the studio to write the script for the new remake. Spyglass is still checking several options for other talents to take part in the project—both on the creative and on the performance side of it.

James Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak from Project X Entertainment will produce the movie. John W. Hyde from Rehab Entertainment will executive produce alongside Terissa Kelton. Production prexy Peter Oillataguerre and production veep Chris Stone will oversee for Spyglass.

The original movie was written by S. S. Wilson and Brent Maddock. It followed Johnny five, voiced by Tim Blaney, as he teams up with an animal caregiver played by Ally Sheedy as he tries to avoid being captured by the military. The movie starred Steve Guttenberg, Fisher Stevens, Austin Pendleton, and G. W. Bailey and spawned a sequel in 1988. Plans for a third installment were scrapped though.

However, in a second post, he reaffirmed his involvement in the movie saying how great it was to work with Gunn on the “astounding” movie. Later Gunn himself posted confirmation of the news on his own Instagram account saying it was amazing to work again with Stallone (Sly had a small part on Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2).

Stallone’s career is a long and prolific one, spanning decades and 74 movies. But he did not take part in many superheroes or comic books based movies. Apart from said small part on Guardians, his most notable part in the Genre was the lead role in 1995’s Judge Dredd, which did not do well with critics and is considered a flop in the box-offices.

The Suicide Squad cast also includes Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Peter Capaldi, and John Cena.

Wentworth Miller, who led all five of the series’ seasons as Michael Scofield, went on Instagram and announced he will not be playing the devious character ever again. Miller, who also plays in The Flash and Madam Secretary, said he just doesn’t want to play straight characters anymore. “Their stories have been told (and told),” he wrote.

This development does not prevent the creation of another season, but it does make it somewhat unlikely. TVLine reports that sources in the network say that currently there are no plans to develop such a project. It should be noted, though, that Purcell hinted a while ago that a sixth season is planned.

Prison Break initially followed Scofield as he gets himself imprisoned in order to break out with his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) who is about to be executed. Later seasons follow the brothers as they struggle with more obstacles outside the prison.

It is 37 minutes long and contains nine songs. Greg Kurstin who worked with the band on their last album Concrete and Gold also produced this album.

Vince Vaughn, who led the film alongside Owen Wilson confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that there are serious plans for a second movie. He said that he met with Wilson and the director David Dobkin to seriously discuss this possibility. “So there has been an idea that is pretty good. So we are talking about that in the early stages,” he said. 

Vaughn reflected on working on comedies such as Wedding Crashers, Mr. and Mrs Smith, and Zoolander and how much fun it is to work on them. “It’s always fun to make people laugh and go to work with people that are funny.”

It is not the first time the possibility of a second movie has been floated. Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams, who also starred in the first movie, already suggested a few months ago that a Wedding Crashers 2 script is being written. Ferrell also mused about the possibility that it will be a divorce courtroom drama (but he was probably joking).

However, it is unlikely he will be able to fulfill his wish anytime soon. The franchise will have to stay on the sidelines as a legal dispute between Director Sean S. Cunningham and Horror Inc. and screenwriter Victor Miller is still being deliberated in court. Miller has filed a copyright termination claiming he is entitled to the rights of the franchise.

In recent years, Blumhouse has positioned itself as one of the leading studios in the horror genre. In 2009 it released Paranormal Activity which grossed over $200 million. The last decade has seen a series of Blumhouse produced low budget but successful horror movies as well as some noteworthy movies such as Get Out, which got 4 Oscars nominations.
