Froseth (Looking for Alaska) will take on the role of Nan St. George, while Boe (13 Reasons Why) will play Conchita Closson. The cast will also include Josie Totah (Saved by the Bell), Aubri Ibrag (Dive Club), Imogen Waterhouse (The Outpost), and Mia Threapleton (Shadows).

The Buccaneers is one of Wharton’s least adapted works, and it was only turned into a BBC mini-series in 1995, starring Carla Gugino and Greg Wise. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author is the mastermind behind some of the most iconic novels taking place during the Gilded Age, including The Age of Innocence, The House of Mirth, and Ethan Frome, which have all been adapted for the big screen.

The Buccaneers is in production in Scotland, with Katherine Jakeways serving as series creator, and Susanna White coming on board to direct.

The Oscar-winning actor has joined Apple’s forthcoming drama, Severance, where he’ll star the lead alongside Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, and John Turturro. 

The project, directed and executive produced by Ben Stiller, is described as a workplace thriller drama. Severance is set at Lumen Industries, a company that’s looking to take work-life balance to a new level offering a “severance procedure,” which separates work and out-of-work memories. Walken will star as Burt, the department head of Optics and Design at Lumen.

Severance joins Walken’s few TV roles credits which include the role of Captain Hook in the NBC special Peter Pan Live! He is best known for Academy Award-worthy performance in The Deer Hunter. His other credits include Catch Me if You Can, King of New York, Biloxi Blues, Wedding Crashers, Pulp Fiction, and Batman Returns.
