]]>Based on the 1985 memoir Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon, this biopic will center on Priscilla’s whirlwind romance with the King of Rock’n’roll—from their meeting in Germany and dreamy wedding to the factors that led to their divorce.
In addition to Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi as Elvis and Priscilla, the film will also star Raine Monroe Boland, Emily Mitchell, Dagmara Domińczyk, Jorja Cadence, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, and Luke Humphrey.
Priscilla will be released only a year after Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler, but Coppola doesn’t see a problem in that because these films are told from different perspectives.
“I never felt like I was treading on the same territory. I love that people were so into his film about Elvis, and now in a few years, there’ll be another film about Priscilla. I think it’ll be interesting to have two completely different interpretations of the same events and time period,” Coppola told Vogue.
