The Craft reboot has cast its first witch.

The contemporary reimagining of the 1996 cult hit has tapped Cailee Spaeny as its lead.

According to multiple outlets, the young and upcoming actress is in negotiations to join the reboot directed by Zoe Lister-Jones. Jones will direct from her own script. Should she join the project, Spaeny would portray Hannah, the role originally played by Robin Tunney.

The 1996 original, also starred Neve Campbell, Rachel True and Fairuza Balk. It followed three outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft, and wage curses against those who tick them off. The original movie earned $24.8 million at the domestic box office.

Spaeny’s credits include Pacific Rim: Uprising, On the Basis of Sex, Vice, and Bad Times at the El Royale.

Production on the reboot is set to start in July.
