]]>Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest will return in just a few days, and the more we learn about the show – the more excited we get! The Grammy-winner Cardi B is one of the latest performers to join the star-studded lineup, and she’ll perform live from Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
As for the hip-hop legend L.L. Cool J, he’ll be among the performers hitting the stage in Times Square. The Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, country singer Jelly Roll, pop star Sabrina Carpenter, and South African singer Tyla will also take the stage in NYC.
As for the Hollywood festivities, the lineup is just as show-stopping, with Aqua, Ellie Goulding, Green Day, Janelle Monáe, Bebe Rexha, Ludacris, Reneé Rapp, Coco Jones, and Thirty Seconds to Mars among acts set to take the stage. NewJeans will tune in from South Korea, while Post Malone will take the stage in Las Vegas.
Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora will co-host the show in Times Square, while Jeannie Mai will be in charge of the Hollywood party.

]]>Directed by UnderWonder’s Tanu Muino, who gave us such masterpieces as Harry Styles’ “As It Was” and Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, the music video for “Bongos” is one lavish affair. Cardi B even went so far as to say it took $2.4 million to bring it to life.
“I feel like this video is just very beautiful; like, it has choreography, but it’s a location video… This type of stuff costs a lot of money for the videos and rehearsals every day — it costs a lot of money, it’s a lot of work,” she explained during an appearance on the iHeartMedia radio show Way Up with Angela Yee.
The epic visual was filmed in Malibu, California, and it shows the duo rapping their hearts out in a series of elaborate outfits, including oversized feathered hats. Some of the scenes are filmed on a sun-kissed beach, while the rest of the video takes us to a fancy Malibu mansion with an outdoor pool and designer furniture.

The rest of the film’s voice ensemble is just as impressive and it includes Kimiko Glenn as Baby Shark, Luke Youngblood as William, Natasha Rothwell as Mommy Shark, Eric Edelstein as Daddy Shark, Debra Wilson as Grandma Shark, Patrick Warburton as Grandpa Shark.
Ashley Tisdale is joining the cast as Stariana, a sharp-witted and manipulative rising pop starfish who wants to take center stage with a splash hit. After she tries to steal the spotlight from Baby Shark, he must break her spell to restore harmony to the seas.
Cardi B is no stranger to acting—she made her feature film debut in Hustlers and we’ll soon get to see her in the highly-anticipated action blockbuster Fast X.

“Hot S—t” will be featured on Cardi B’s upcoming second studio album. She released it on July 1, but it took a little longer for the music video to see the light of day.
Cardi B was very open about her struggles filming the video for “Hot S—t”. She told Zane Lowe that this video brought her “so much drama” because it was her first time trying CGI.
“It was something very different for me. I couldn’t maneuver or move how I wanted to, because I was very confused. After I finished the video, I find out that this s—t takes so long. I did this video around March, and it’s still not even ready yet,” explained Cardi B.

]]>This song has been in the making since 2019, but it took a while before it saw the light of day. Cardi B filmed the music video all the way back in March and wanted to release it ever since, but had to wait because CGI was taking too long.
The Grammy-winning rapper eventually decided that enough is enough, and simply shared the audio with the world. West’s involvement is one of the most exciting things about this song, and Cardi B said that she was “so happy” that he gave her his verse.
“Kanye gave me this verse a couple of months ago when he was just all over the media, because of all of the things that were going on. I like how his verse, it’s personal, but it’s not that personal,” she told Zane Lowe.
“Hot Sh-t” will be featured on Cardi B’s sophomore studio album, the follow-up to her 2018 record Invasion of Privacy. It was preceded by hit singles “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and “Up”, both of which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

]]>Cardi B continues the trend of the AMAs choosing Black female stars as their hosts. Cardi B is following in the footsteps of the Black-ish actress Tracee Ellis Ross (2017,18), R&B star Ciara (2019), and the Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson (2020).
Cardi B released a statement thanking the show’s executive producer Jesse Collins, ABC, and MRC for making this happen. She added she was very excited after receiving the invite to join the show as its host and said she’s ready to bring her personality to the AMAs stage.
The hip-hop star is in the running for three awards this year—favorite female hip-hop artist, favorite music video, and favorite hip-hop song with “Up”. The list of major contenders at this year’s AMAs also includes Olivia Rodrigo with seven nods and The Weeknd with six.
We’ll get to see how Cardi B does as a host when the American Music Awards return to LA’s Microsoft Theater on November 21st.

]]>“WAP” collected trophies in three separate categories—song of the year, best hip hop video, and best collaboration. Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion were both in the running for the biggest award of the night—hip hop artist of the year—but eventually lost out to Lil Baby.
Tyler, The Creator was also amongst the biggest winners of the night with a total of three awards. He managed to beat tough competition to walk away with the award for hip hop album of the year for Call Me If You Get Lost, and also won the award for the best live performer and cultural influence award.
The list of major winners at this year’s ceremony also included JAY-Z and the late Nipsey Hussle, who shared two awards for their collaboration “What It Feels Like”.

]]>Cardi B shared the news by posting a photo from a hospital bed, which shows her cradling a newborn in a blue blanket next to Offset. She captioned the photo with the date “9/4/21” and a blue heart emoji, hinting that she gave birth to a baby boy.
The couple also confirmed the baby’s gender in an official statement, which reads, “We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son. He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
Cardi B revealed her pregnancy back in June, when she hit the BET Awards stage with Offset and Migos, rocking a glittery bodysuit, which exposed her growing belly. The “WAP” rapper and Offset secretly tied the knot in 2017, and they welcomed baby girl Kulture Kiari in July 2018.
