]]>Bieber’s new video was directed by Colin Tilley and it shows him taking on the role of an impoverished oil-rig worker. His life turns upside down after the factory he’s working for shuts down, and he ends up being evicted with his girlfriend, played by the rising star Ryan Destiny.
Bieber described this song as the beginning of a “new era”, but it’s still unclear what he’s referring to. It’s only been a few months since he dropped his latest album Changes, but “Holy” is giving us some major gospel vibes, and we’re yet to see if he’s thinking of taking his music in that direction long-term.
This isn’t Bieber’s first collaberation with Chance the Rapper. Most recently, they were both featured on DJ Khaled’s “No Brainer” with Quavo, which was released in 2018.

The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed, but Bo Burnham is also expected to star in the project in an undisclosed role. Jonathan Krisel, whose previous credits include Portlandia and Baskets, will be in charge of directing the film.
Chance the Rapper landed a couple of voice roles over the years, but this will be his second major acting gig after horror-comedy Slice. He’s also set to host the reboot of prank show Punk’d, airing on the streaming service Quibi.

]]>Throughout the early noughties, famous folks were on their guard as Ashton Kutcher seemed to be hiding behind every bush, ready to prank them. Some of the most famous incidents included Justin Timberlake’s possessions being seized for unpaid income tax and Frankie Muniz’s Porsche being stolen.
The original series was hosted by The Ranch actor on MTV for a total of 10 seasons, but the new series will move to Quibi. It will also involve Chance the Rapper taking over hosting duties.
“Punk’d is one of MTV’s most iconic franchises,” he said. “I grew up watching this show and it’s surreal to be in the driver’s seat this time around on Quibi.”
And we’re definitely in for a wild ride if the teaser is anything to go by — Megan Thee Stallion is set to have a run-in with a gorilla and Chance plans to blow up a few things.

]]>The performer shared his decision to cancel his national tour scheduled to kick off in January via an Instagram post Sunday.
Apologizing and explaining to fans he wrote: “Hey guys I’ve decided to cancel the Big Tour. I know it sucks and its been a lot of back and forth with reschedules and rerouting, but it’s for the best. I’m gonna take this time to be with family, make some new music and develop my best show to date. I’m deeply sorry to anyone with a ticket who has supported me this past decade by coming to a show and rocking out with me and I feel even worse for anyone who was planning on making this their first Chance concert.”
He also shared his hopes for a better next year, “I promise to come back much stronger and better in 2020 and hope to see some of you guys there. I truly love you and God bless.”
The ambitious tour was announced back in July. It included 35-dates with shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden and the Los Angeles Forum.

James Corden will be absent because he’s busy filming Ryan Murphy’s adaptation of hit musical The Prom, also starring Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, and Awkwafina. Executive producers of The Late Late Show, Ben Winston and Rob Crabbe, are looking forward to welcoming other hosts to the show while he’s not around.
“We are of course going to miss James during these two weeks of shows. But it’s a great consolation that we have some of the biggest stars in the world to step into his shoes. We are really looking forward to these exciting, entertaining and ambitious weeks of shows,” said the duo in a statement.

The famous rapper also took a moment to thank some of the celebrities who previously walked in his shoes – including Donald Glover, Drake, and MC Hammer, who “helped him realize this dream as a child”.
This isn’t Chance’s first SNL appearance – he previously performed on the show twice, and hosted it once.
The list of artists who took on the double duty most recently includes Halsey and Donald Glover, and Chance the Rapper will be the first to do it this season.

]]>The Chicago native has finally dropped his first-ever studio album, The Big Day, Friday. “The whole album has been inspired by the day that I got married and how I was dancing that day,” Chance said of the record that clocks in at just over an hour and 15 minutes.
This is Chance’s fourth solo release, though the first three were mixtapes, not albums.
“My mixtapes have been confused for albums for a long time so it has to be something different,” he told Pitchfork. “Something that you can consider an album, it might not be physical, or a disc or something, but an album that comes with its own live show is important.”

]]>It’s hard to believe that Chance the Rapper has still yet to release his debut album.
The hip-hop artist has been around since 2012 when he released his mix-tape 10 Day. Since then he has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and won for Best Rap Album.
Despite that, the “No Problem” rapper has still not released an actual album – as money has never been charged to obtain his previous releases.
Until now.
The 26-year-old has revealed just when we can expect his debut offering.
While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Chance said that The Big Day will drop on July 26th.
“I haven’t sold my projects before. All my mixtapes were free,” he told the late-night host.
The Big Day will contain 20 tracks, including “Groceries” featuring TisaKorean and Murda Beatz that was released in May.
We’ve already marked our calendars.

Cardi and the boys aren’t the only A-listers involved in Rhythm and Flow. They’ll serve as executive producers alongside John Legend, and his partners at Get Lifted Film Company. The host is yet to be announced, but it would be great if recent EGOT winner managed to convince his wife Chrissy Teigen to join the team. We can dream, right?
Rhythm and Flow should premiere in fall 2019, with auditions starting later this year. It’s still unclear how Netflix intends to make this work since most talents shows involve live performances and public vote, but they never disappointed us in the past.

]]>This classic summer anthem will be a part of DJ Khaled’s upcoming album Father of Ashad. Curly-headed toddler makes a cameo in the video, in his father’s latest attempt to transform him into a mini-superstar. He can be seen sitting in a director chair alongside his dad and Justin Bieber.
The whole thing takes place on the set of a fake music video, showing how phony this world can be. Set pieces are over the top and obvious product placement is pretty much everywhere. Quavo spends some time painting an abstract portrait of the model in front of him, but Chance is nowhere to be found. He finally shows up by the very end to throw an epic Gatsby-themed party.
The hit-making squad already has one song that peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. No Brainer has the same kind of catchy beat and playful lyrics, so it’s just the matter of time before it goes platinum. Will it repeat the success of I’m The One? Let’s wait and see!
