The list of celebrities who performed as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live isn’t extremely long, and Chance the Rapper is about to become one of them. He’ll be serving as both the host and musical guest on the upcoming episode of the popular sketch comedy show.

Shortly after the amazing news was announced, Chance celebrated this special honor with an emotional Instagram post. He wanted to join the list of talents who pulled the double duty on this show since he was a child, and his dream will finally come true on October 26th.

The famous rapper also took a moment to thank some of the celebrities who previously walked in his shoes – including Donald Glover, Drake, and MC Hammer, who “helped him realize this dream as a child”.

This isn’t Chance’s first SNL appearance – he previously performed on the show twice, and hosted it once.

The list of artists who took on the double duty most recently includes Halsey and Donald Glover, and Chance the Rapper will be the first to do it this season.
