MaXXXine serves as the third installment in Ti West’s horror series X, centered around Mia Goth’s characters Maxine Minx and Pearl. The first two films, X and Pearl, were shot back-to-back and they were both released to critical acclaim in 2022.
Since no slasher film is complete without a bunch of sequels, West decided to continue Maxine’s story in the third film in the franchise, which will show her continue her journey to fame and try to make it big in Hollywood during the 80s.
“X is a movie that is informed by and affected by independent exploitation auteur Americana and 1970s cinema, and Pearl is perhaps affected by the Golden Age of Hollywood and the glitz and glamor of cinema, MaXXXine will be more about within the industry itself and the boom of VHS,” explained West.

]]>“Die For Me” was originally released in 2019, as one of the songs from Malone’s third studio album Hollywood’s Bleeding. It also featured Future and became quite a hit among Halsey’s fans despite never being released as one of the singles from this chart-topping, Grammy-nominated album.
When “Die For Me” was originally released, Post Malone described it as a song for anyone who has been with an adulterating spouse or in a bad relationship, adding it’s a good reminder that you’re not alone and that things get better.
Halsey will release her solo version this Friday, and she thanked Post Malone, Louis Bell, and Future for having her on the original release and co-signing this version finally seeing daylight.
“It’s been long known in my fanbase that there’s a demo of ‘Die For Me’ with just me on it. I performed my verse on the tour all summer long and since so many people have asked for it, I decided to put my full version out as ‘Die 4 Me,’” wrote Halsey on social media.

In June, the Grammy Award winner dropped the music video for “Stay With Me” which features Justin Timberlake, Halsey, and Pharrell on vocals. The video sees all four artists sporting bright colors as they perform the song, with Timberlake imitating a guitar in the air with his hands and dancing on a moving walkway.

“Alev and I were able to share a glimpse of the way that we fell in love: watching romantic films together… For us, this makes ‘So Good’ come to life in a really special way that we’re so excited to share with fans,” stated the singer.
Halsey managed to create a lot of buzz for “So Good” before it even came out. Back in May, she accused her record label of refusing to release the song “unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok”. Capitol Music later shared a statement saying that they love and support Halsey, adding her new song will be released on June 9.
“So Good” is Halsey’s first single since the release of her fourth studio album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, which came out in August last year.

]]>What makes this chart different from the Billboard 200 is that it’s based only on traditional album sales, and doesn’t take streaming equivalent album units into account. Halsey’s latest LP couldn’t beat Kanye West’s Donda on the Billboard 200 because this album was a much bigger streaming hit, but it managed to beat it when it came down to pure album sales.
Out of 98,000 equivalent album units earned, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power sold 70,500 copies, becoming the top-selling album of the week. It’s currently Halsey’s third album to top Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, following Manic and Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.
If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power was met with positive acclaim since its release on August 27th, and it produced singles “I Am Not a Woman, I’m a God” and “You Asked for This”. Halsey described it as “a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth.”

If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power will serve as the follow-up to Halsey’s third studio album Manic, which came out last year and produced singles “Graveyard” and “You Should Be Sad”. It’s set to hit the shelves on August 27th, with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross serving as producers.
