After a dispute with her label over the release of the new single “So Good”, Halsey finally got to share this song with the world. The music video for this single is one of her most personal to date, and it sees her join forces with her partner Alev Aydin.

Aydin was in charge of directing the video, which highlights the couple’s relationship. In an official statement regarding the video’s release, Halsey said it really tells the full story of the song in the way she intended.

“Alev and I were able to share a glimpse of the way that we fell in love: watching romantic films together… For us, this makes ‘So Good’ come to life in a really special way that we’re so excited to share with fans,” stated the singer.

Halsey managed to create a lot of buzz for “So Good” before it even came out. Back in May, she accused her record label of refusing to release the song “unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok”. Capitol Music later shared a statement saying that they love and support Halsey, adding her new song will be released on June 9.

“So Good” is Halsey’s first single since the release of her fourth studio album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, which came out in August last year.
