The speculations about the couple’s divorce started circling online last week, and they decided to put rumors to rest with a joint statement shared on their respective Instagram accounts.

“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” reads the duo’s statement.

The Jonas Brothers singer and Game of Thrones actress started dating in 2016 and got engaged about a year later. They got married in a Las Vegas wedding chapel in 2019 and had their second wedding in Paris that same year.

According to People, Jonas filed for divorce in Miami, Florida this Tuesday. The couple have two kids together – daughter Willa, who was born in 2020, and another daughter born last year, whose name they didn’t share with the public.

“Joe and Sophie welcomed a baby girl last Wednesday in L.A. and are over the moon,” a source told ET. “The couple is already obsessed and can’t stop gloating about their new addition. The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends. With the pandemic, Joe and Sophie have been very cautious about who is around them and their little girl.”

According to TMZ the couple decided to name their daughter Willa.

The 24-year-old Game of Thrones star and the 30-year-old singer have been married since May 2019, but they remained private about the pregnancy, never confirming it, although it was evident from her baby bump.

Back in February and March, news broke of Turner’s pregnancy after the couple was photographed shopping at a children’s store in Studio City, California. In May, Jonas spoke about spending time with Turner during the pandemic, “We’re having a good time. We got married last year, so we’re new to this, so we’re still enjoying that time,” he said during an appearance on SiriusXM Hits 1’s Celebrity Session hosted by The Morning Mash Up. “Also, we were on tour for what feels like more than a year, so being home is kinda nice.”

“We appreciate and we know that time for ourselves is important,” he continued. “So, I’ll do my thing, she does her thing, even though we’re all under one roof. I think that’s been helpful for us,” he continued.

On an appearance on Conan in April, Turner said, “Everything seems to be working out in my favor here because Joe’s a real social butterfly, so I struggle to lock him down and have him just spend time with me… It’s like prison for him, but it’s great for me.”

Newlyweds Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have shared the first image from their second wedding and it is gorgeous!

The image posted by the two on Instagram Wednesday features the happy couple walking down the aisle together hand in hand, wearing the biggest smiles possible.

The image also revealed the couple’s fashion for the day — Jonas sported a smart dark suit and bowtie, while Tuner opted for a white gown by Louis Vuitton, featuring a full skirt and capped sleeves. She paired the look with a floaty veil. 

The two were married (again) at Le Château de Tourreau in France on Saturday. The Jonases had their first wedding ceremony in Las Vegas for legal reasons.

At the beginning of 2017, Sophie decided to confirm all the rumors by posting a picture of Joe on a boat smoking a cigar. Once everything was official, Sophie and Joe were spotted holding hands.

Now, we can’t wait for the wedding pictures but they may not come soon enough. Sophie is currently busy filming the final season of Game of Thrones. Joe Jonas, on the other hand, is working hard to get himself in the spotlight again and is focused on the work with his new band DNCE.
