After a lot of speculations about their potential split, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner made their divorce official. The couple released a joint statement announcing they’re going their separate ways after being married for four years and described their split as “a united decision”.

The speculations about the couple’s divorce started circling online last week, and they decided to put rumors to rest with a joint statement shared on their respective Instagram accounts.

“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” reads the duo’s statement.

The Jonas Brothers singer and Game of Thrones actress started dating in 2016 and got engaged about a year later. They got married in a Las Vegas wedding chapel in 2019 and had their second wedding in Paris that same year.

According to People, Jonas filed for divorce in Miami, Florida this Tuesday. The couple have two kids together – daughter Willa, who was born in 2020, and another daughter born last year, whose name they didn’t share with the public.
