]]>The term “folie à deux” can be translated as “shared madness” and it perfectly describes the relationship between this notorious villain power couple. The new trailer sees Arthur Fleck and Harley Quinn catching each other’s eye during their time at Arkham Asylum, and finding themselves caught in a dangerous dance that could either destroy them—or set them free.
The first promo clip also makes it clear that Joker: Folie à Deux will feature many musical elements. It’s set to the beat of “What the World Needs Now (Is Love Sweet Love)”, but the film will feature at least 15 renditions of well-known songs that fit its theme, according to Variety’s recent report.
Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga will be joined by Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, Steve Coogan, Ken Leung, Harry Lawtey, and Zazie Beetz in supporting roles. We’ll get to witness their wild dance on October 4, when Joker: Folie à Deux will be released theatrically by Warner Bros.

]]>Phillips captioned his recent Instagram post with the words, “Wishing everyone a happy holiday and a beautiful new year. Oct 2024 #Joker2” and shared two new images from the upcoming sequel.
The first shows Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck aka the Joker behind what appears to be a cell window with the number “E258”. The second offers a glimpse of Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn gazing at Fleck, who is wearing his signature Joker makeup and suit.
Joker: Folie à Deux has been billed as a musical and this genre change was quite a shocker for the fans, but the Oscar-winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir claims we’ve got nothing to worry about.
“It’s an interesting decision. It’s both logical and also very surprising for me as well as the audience. So far, it’s just been a really beautiful conversation, and I’m really excited to see how it unfolds,” she told Variety.
Joker: Folie à Deux will be released on October 4, 2024, and it will also star Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey.

]]>Pascal joined Bad Bunny to translate a portion of his monologue from Spanish to English. After firing a few sentences about his morning in New York, the Puerto Rican singer turned to Pascal for help, but the actor offered a joking translation, “He says, ‘I’m blessed to be here with my favorite actor Pedro Pascal.’”

This wasn’t Pascal’s only appearance during Bad Bunny’s SNL episode. The Mandalorian actor also reprised his role from his last season’s appearance on SNL in the hilarious sketch Protective Mom 2, in addition to introducing the singer ahead of his “Monaco” performance.
Lady Gaga also made a cameo and did an intro for Bad Bunny’s performance of “Un Preview”. The biggest shocker was seeing The Rolling Stones’ frontman make a cameo in sketches Telenovela and Convent Meeting, marking his first appearance on SNL since 1986.
The next episode of SNL will be hosted by the comedian Nate Bargatze, with Foo Fighters serving as musical guests.

]]>Gaga recently reflected on several projects that have been keeping her busy in recent months, from her beauty brand Haus Labs to the highly-anticipated film Joker: Folie à Deux. The singer also confirmed she’s been plotting The Chromatica Ball film, and thanked her fans for their patience.
“Here’s a photo of my working on The Chromatica Ball film edit (that’s a frame from the film behind me)—I can’t WAIT for you to experience it… I hope you love all the things I’ve been creating for you and I hope this is a small reminder to you of my deep passion and commitment to art,” she wrote on Instagram.
The Chromatica Ball took place last summer across Europe, Asia, and North America. Even though it was hit with many delays due to COVID-19 and only included 20 shows, the tour was a huge success and ended up grossing $112.4 million from 834,000 tickets sold.

]]>Phillips celebrated the last day of filming the sequel by posting two photos of Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix in full makeup as Harley Quinn and the Joker, followed by a caption reflecting on the process of filming the prequel.
“That’s a wrap. Thanks to these two (+ the entire cast) and the BEST crew that the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. Gonna crawl into a cave now (edit room) and put it all together,” he wrote on social media.
Phillips returned to direct and co-write the Folie à Deux after finding huge success with the first Joker film. It became the first R-rated film to gross over $1 billion, and it won numerous awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actor for Phoenix.
Joker: Folie à Deux was filmed in Los Angeles, New York, and Cedar Grove, from December to April, and it’s expected to include musical elements. In addition to Phoenix and Gaga, the film will also star Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. It will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on October 4, 2024.

Lady Gaga’s casting in the new film left some people puzzled because they associate this comic book heroine with Margot Robbie, but the Australian actress said she’s happy to pass this great character to another great actress.
“It’s such an honor to have built a foundation strong enough that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors get to have a go at playing, and I think she’ll do something incredible with it,” she told MTV News.
Joker: Folie à Deux serves as the sequel to the hit 2019 film directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck aka Joker. They’re both returning for the sequel, with Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey in supporting roles.

The singer informed the producers she’ll attend the ceremony as a nominee, but she’s unable to prepare a musical number because she’s busy shooting Joker: Folie à Deux at the moment.
Despite Gaga’s absence, this year’s Oscars won’t lack amazing performances. All the other contenders for the best original song will be performed at the ceremony, including “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, “This Is a Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once, “Naatu Naatu” from RRR, and “Applause” from Tell It Like a Woman. Lenny Kravitz is also expected to perform at the ceremony during the “In Memoriam” tribute.
The 95th Academy Awards will take place on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with Jimmy Kimmel serving as the host. Everything Everywhere All at Once topped the list of nominations with 11 nods, followed by All Quiet on the Western Front and The Banshees of Inisherin with nine each.

Gaga joined the film in the role of Harley Quinn/Harleen Quinzell, a psychiatrist who was meant to study Arthur Fleck and his Joker persona before falling into his twisted world. Her casting initially left people puzzled because it hasn’t been long since Margot Robbie portrayed this character, but the Babylon actress gave Gaga her seal of approval.
Gaga’s involvement also makes sense because Joker: Folie à Deux will be a musical, and it’s set in DC Elseworlds instead of being a part of the traditional DC Universe. In addition to the two leads, the film will also star Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey, and it’s scheduled to be released on October 4, 2024.

The list of A-list artists who made the cut also includes the likes of The Weeknd, Selena Gomez, Giveon, Jazmine Sullivan, Sofia Carlson, and Diane Warren. Only five songs will stay in the race once the Academy Awards nominations are announced on January 24, 2023.
The 95th Academy Awards will return to the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 12, 2023 with Jimmy Kimmel hosting the ceremony for the third time.

]]>In the show’s fourth episode, Jenna Ortega’s character breaks it down at the school’s social event of the year, The Raven. The routine, which the actress choreographed herself, is set to “Goo Goo Muck” by The Cramps, but it also works particularly well with “Bloody Mary” by Lady Gaga. The track was part of Gaga’s 2011 album Born This Way, but is having a revival 11 years later and as it was sent to French radio as a single earlier this month.
The dance mash-up has gone viral on TikTok and now none other than Miss Gaga herself has taken part in the challenge!

Wearing goth make-up and an outfit that resembles Wednesday’s, the “Bad Romance” singer posted a black-and-white video on the social media platform where she performs the moves to her own song. Gaga captioned the post, “BLOODY WEDNESDAY”.
The Oscar winner also shared a post on Twitter in which she declared, “Slay Wednesday! You’re welcome at Haus of Gaga anytime (and bring Thing with you, we love paws around here).”
