]]>The ninth film by the famous director has received rave reviews for its depiction of Hollywood during the ‘60s and the life of a television actor who may have passed his sell-by date. When it debuted at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, the feature received a standing ovation from critics and won the Palm Dog Award.
The film is not short by any means, clocking in at 161 minutes. Tarantino claimed that the original version was initially longer and that cuts took place fairly close to the film’s premiere date. It was announced in October that the movie would be re-released with an additional 10 minutes of footage.
Diehard Tarantino fans have been wondering, however, whether they would ever get to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in its entirety, the way the filmmaker initially envisioned, and he has now given us an answer.
“Maybe in a year’s time, we probably will,” he said at a special screening of the film at ArcLight Hollywood.
Rumor has it that version is over four hours long. Best have a lot of popcorn.

]]>Variety reports that Quentin Tarantino’s latest film is heading back to the big screen with four new scenes and 10 minutes of additional footage.
“Audiences have shown tremendous support for this movie, and we look forward to offering them another opportunity to see the film as it’s meant to be seen — in theaters on the big screen — with more sights and sounds of the sixties from Quentin Tarantino as an added treat,” said Adrian Smith, Sony’s president of domestic distribution.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is currently Tarantino’s second-highest grossing movie earning $139 million in North America and $228 million overseas.

]]>The post Is a “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” Mini-Series Coming? appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>The latest Tarantino masterpiece may still be in cinemas but talks are already happening about what to do with the concept next. Speaking to the New York Times, Brad Pitt addressed rumors that Tarantino is considering a streaming version of the film which will include more footage and span into several episodes.
“Yeah, he’s talked about it,” Pitt confirmed. “It’s a pretty arousing idea.”
“I’m curious to see if movies last, if movies stick around,” he added. “What I notice about the younger generation is that they’re used to receiving a lot of information at a much faster pace, and they’re more inclined to watch a short series of episodes where you can stay in it as long as you want or jump out whenever you get bored.”
Back in 2015, Tarantino re-purposed the Hateful Eight as a mini-series which landed on Netflix earlier this year. Pitt described the mini-series as “the best of both worlds” adding that: “You have the cinema experience that exists, but you can actually put more content in a series format.”
Once Upon a Time In Hollywood is playing in movie theaters now.

]]>The opening, which puts the movie on the second spot in this weekend’s box office list after The Lion King is considered a solid opening considering it is a summer release of an R-rated, adult-oriented movie. Tarantino’s previous biggest opening movie was Inglorious Basterds, which opened with 38.1 million dollars in 2009.
Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood is the director’s 9th film and he said in the past that he will make one another film after its release. It is still not known which movie it will be. In the past, it was reported that Tarantino will direct a Star Trek film and lately the undenied rumors talk about another collaboration with actress Uma Thurman to make a Kill Bill sequel.

]]>The post Tarantino Teases Extended Version of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” appeared first on EverydayKoala.
