The Time Traveler’s Wife hails from Doctor Who’s Steven Moffat, and it centers on Henry DeTamble, who lives with a genetic disorder that forces him to randomly travel through time. While revisiting the moments in his life, he meets his future wife Clare Abshire as a young girl.

Audrey Niffenegger’s novel became a bestseller after being published in 2003, and this isn’t the first attempt to adapt it. Back in 2009, Robert Schwentke directed a film based on this book, starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. A stage musical is also in the works.

Despite their decision not to proceed with the series, an HBO spokesperson told Deadline that it was their privilege to partner with master storytellers Steven Moffat and David Nutter to bring this story to life.

“We are so grateful for their passion, hard work, and care for adapting this beloved book. We also thank Theo and Rose, and the rest of our brilliant cast for their heartfelt performances, which completely captivated audiences,” reads the statement by HBO.

According to TVLine, Leslie will not return for season 4 of The Good Fight. The 32-year-old actress played lawyer Maia Rindell on the CBS All Access courtroom drama and appeared in the first three seasons of the series.

News of Leslie’s departure was confirmed by creators Robert and Michelle King to the outlet at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday. The duo said that the previous season’s final episode was her “sendoff.” While this will be a shock to fans, they should have seen it coming seeing that the season 3 finale saw Maia head off to Washington DC to launch a new firm with Michael Sheen’s Roland Blum.

Leslie isn’t the only one set to leave the show following its shift from being a straight forward legal drama. She joins two other, now former, original cast-mates — Justin Bartha and Erica Tazel. Staying abroad for the forthcoming season are Audra McDonald, Michael Boatman, and Nyambi Nyambi. 

The Good Fight‘s 10-episode fourth season is set to return next year.

The couple said their ‘I do’s’ on Saturday in Scotland ten months after announcing their engagement. 

The official announcement was made in The London Times in September. “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harrington of Worcestershire, and Rose, the middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” the announcement read.

The special day took place at the actress’ family’s castle, Wardhill, in Aberdeenshire. The castle has been owned by Leslie’s’ family for the past 900 years and is now a private hotel and a popular wedding spot. Leslie’s father spoke outside the church saying, “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today. It’s an absolutely lovely day for us.”

The wedding was, of course, a GoT fans’ dream come true as the couple’s co-stars including Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke were in attendance. 

The bride looked gorgeous in a long sleeve ivory lace wedding dress, a white flower crown, and cathedral veil. The handsome groom wore a long black jacket over a cream vest, white shirt, black tie and gray pinstriped pants.

The couple met on the set of the HBO hit series, playing love interests as Jon Snow and wildling Ygritte.

In case you didn’t know, Jon Snow actually does know more than nothing as Game of Thrones actor, Kit Harington, put a ring on the finger of former co-star, Rose Leslie, who played Ygritte.

The two have been together for 6 years, since meeting on the set of the HBO drama (where they played lovers — aw!) and got engaged last September.

The announcement was made in The Times newspaper as follows: “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”

The BBC has now revealed the pair’s wedding date as the 23rd of June.

Kit and Rose are scheduled to tie the knot in a castle in Aberdeenshire where the bride’s father — who is a politician — owns a castle.

Several Game of Thrones castmates are expected to attend the nuptials. Let’s just hope it is very different to the Red Wedding.
