Forget that royal wedding — this is the royal wedding we’re looking forward to.
In case you didn’t know, Jon Snow actually does know more than nothing as Game of Thrones actor, Kit Harington, put a ring on the finger of former co-star, Rose Leslie, who played Ygritte.
The two have been together for 6 years, since meeting on the set of the HBO drama (where they played lovers — aw!) and got engaged last September.
The announcement was made in The Times newspaper as follows: “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”
The BBC has now revealed the pair’s wedding date as the 23rd of June.
Kit and Rose are scheduled to tie the knot in a castle in Aberdeenshire where the bride’s father — who is a politician — owns a castle.
Several Game of Thrones castmates are expected to attend the nuptials. Let’s just hope it is very different to the Red Wedding.
