We can always count on the Super Bowl halftime show to bring some amazing performances our way, and this year’s headliner certainly delivered. Usher transported us back to the 2000s with his nostalgic halftime performance and brought out some amazing guests to make the night extra special.

Usher was announced as a halftime show performer back in September, and he described his Super Bowl show as an honor of a lifetime that he can’t wait to cross off his bucket list. His moment to shine finally came on Sunday night, and he truly made every second count.

After opening his medley with “My Way”, Usher fired up the Super Bowl crowd with “Caught Up” and “U Don’t Have to Call”. Several special guests joined him along the way, starting with Alicia Keys, who performed amazing renditions of “If I Ain’t Got You” and “My Boo” by his side.

H.E.R. and will.i.am. were right behind Keys, while Lil Jon and Ludacris joined Usher during the final moments of the show, helping him close it with his biggest hit “Yeah!”.

Super Bowl LVIII returned to Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada on February 11, and saw the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers for the second year in a row.

Earlier this year, Usher said he’d love to headline Super Bowl – and his dream is actually coming true! The R&B singer has officially been confirmed as the headlining act at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, taking place in Las Vegas in February.

The NFL and Apple Music confirmed Usher’s involvement with a series of cheeky videos that show the skeptical singer receiving a call about his headlining spot from several celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Deion Sanders, Marshawn Lynch, and Odell Beckham Jr.

The eight-time Grammy winner previously appeared as a guest during The Black Eyed Peas’ halftime show at the Super Bowl XLV, and he’s looking forward to being the main attraction.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen,” said Usher in a statement.

The Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show will take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 11, 2024. Usher is planning to drop his next studio album Coming Home on the same day, set to feature his recent single “Good Good” ft. Summer Walker and 21 Savage.

Headlining the Super Bowl halftime show is a dream come true for many artists, but Ed Sheeran isn’t one of them. The British hitmaker revealed that he’s not interested in headlining the Super Bowl, and added he would only hit the stage if he was joining someone else.

During a recent SiriusXM interview with Andy Cohen, Sheeran revealed there had been talks about him joining Coldplay on stage when they headlined the Super Bowl in 2016. Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and Mark Ronson joined them instead, and Sheeran said he could only imagine himself hitting the Super Bowl stage to support someone else.

“The only way that I would do it, is if I was joining someone else. I don’t have pizazz. Like, all of these amazing performers — I’m just not that. I’m not gonna have dancers on stage. I’m not gonna have fireworks. I don’t think that anyone wants to see me do the Super Bowl either,” he explained.

Even though he claims he has no “pizazz” to carry a Super Bowl performance, Sheeran is no stranger to sold-out stadium shows. His Divide Tour set the record for the highest-grossing concert tour when it concluded in 2019 before Elton John broke the record with his final Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour this year.

Headlining the Super Bowl halftime show is a dream come true for many performers and Usher is no exception. The R&B superstar recently revealed he would be interested in serving as the headliner at the Big Game if the opportunity ever arose.

Usher is currently working on new music and he released his first single in over two years, titled “GLU”, just last month. He recently set down with Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans to discuss his plans for the future, including the possibility of headlining the Super Bowl.

“I’d be a fool to say no. If things line up the way we would all hope, one day that moment would happen… I think I have a catalog that obviously speaks for itself, so to be able to celebrate on that day, it’s obviously about football, but everybody really anticipates the performance,” he told Access Hollywood.

Even though he never served as the Super Bowl headliner, Usher was lucky enough to make an appearance at the NFL championship. He joined The Black Eyed Peas on stage back in 2011 to perform his will.i.am collaboration “OMG”.  His inclusion would make sense if the Super Bowl went down the nostalgic route, as it did back in 2022, when Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Marry J. Blige performed alongside Kendrick Lamar.

There was a lot of anticipation leading up to Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show and her performance lived up to the hype. In addition to performing a spectacular medley of her biggest hits, the R&B icon also announced her pregnancy during the halftime show.

Rihanna kicked off her show-stopping performance with “B—h Better Have My Money”, followed by some of her biggest hits such as “We Found Love”, “Rude Boy”, and “Work”, before closing the show with “Umbrella” and “Diamonds”.

Rihanna was very open about her struggles to choose songs for her halftime show and told Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis that picking the setlist was the biggest challenge.

“That was the hardest, hardest part. Deciding how to maximize 13 minutes, but also celebrate – that’s what this show’s gonna be – it’s gonna be a celebration of my catalog in the best way that we could’ve put it together,” she explained.

Many expected Rihanna will be joined by such stars as Jay-Z, Drake, or Eminem during her performance, but she found a different way to surprise us. She announced she was pregnant with her second child, showing off her baby bump in a red custom jumpsuit by Loewe.

Super Bowl LVII took place on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and it saw the Kansas City Chiefs score an epic win against the Philadelphia Eagles.

There’s always a lot of anticipation surrounding the announcement of the Super Bowl headliner, and the NFL couldn’t have made a better choice for next year. Rihanna will be in charge of headlining the halftime show at the Super Bowl LVII in 2023, taking place in Glendale, Arizona.

Rumors about Rihanna’s involvement started running wild on Sunday, and she added some fuel to the fire just a few hours later. The 34-year-old singer posted a photo of herself holding an NFL football, confirming she’s set to headline the 2023 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The NFL was quick to repost her teaser photo on their social media pages, while NFL’s head of music Seth Dudowsky released an official statement, saying they’re thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Super Bowl halftime show stage.

“Rihanna is a once-in-a-generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career. We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance,” said Dudowsky in a statement.

The Super Bowl LVII is set to take place on February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Rihanna will follow in the footsteps of hip-hop icons Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, who took the Super Bowl stage this year.

There’s always a lot of anticipation surrounding the Super Bowl halftime show, and this year’s event was a spectacle for the ages. It was a true treat for fans of hip-hop, with rappers Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and singer Mary J. Blige headlining the show.

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were the first to hit the stage and they got the crowd wild with the rendition of their collaboration “The Next Episode” and 2Pac’s “California Love”. Their amazing performance was followed by “In Da Club” by 50 Cent.

One of the highlights of the evening came when Mary J. Blige hit the stage and rocked our world with an epic performance of “Family Affair” and “No More Drama”. The amazing moments kept on coming as Kendrick Lamar took the stage and infused old-school West Coast rap performance with some new sounds.

He was joined by Eminem for “Forgot About Dre”, and he went on to give us the most unforgettable moment of the entire halftime show with “Lose Yourself” and ended up taking the knee at the end of his act. The five headliners closed the show with the joined performance of “Still D.R.E.”

Super Bowl LVI took place on February 13th, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California and it saw the Los Angeles Rams win their first Super Bowl title in over two decades.

Super Bowl LVI is coming to California this winter, and it’s shaping up to be an epic, hip-hop bonanza. The list of headliners for the upcoming event will include some of the biggest names on the hip-hop scene—Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige.

Pepsi is returning as the sponsor of this year’s Super Bowl, and their VP of marketing, Todd Kaplan discussed the list of performers: “Artists like Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg were at the forefront of the West Coast hip hop revolution, so to be able to bring them back to LA, where it all began alongside Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will prove to be an epic, unforgettable celebration of the impact hip hop has today.”

The five artists have 43 Grammys and 22 no. 1 albums on the Billboard charts between them, and this will be the first time they perform by each other’s side. Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation is serving as the strategic entertainment advisor of the live performance, and they’re promising a larger-than-life performance of hits from the group’s deep collective catalog.

Super Bowl LVI will take place at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on February 13th, 2022.
