There was a lot of anticipation leading up to Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show and her performance lived up to the hype. In addition to performing a spectacular medley of her biggest hits, the R&B icon also announced her pregnancy during the halftime show.

Rihanna kicked off her show-stopping performance with “B—h Better Have My Money”, followed by some of her biggest hits such as “We Found Love”, “Rude Boy”, and “Work”, before closing the show with “Umbrella” and “Diamonds”.

Rihanna was very open about her struggles to choose songs for her halftime show and told Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis that picking the setlist was the biggest challenge.

“That was the hardest, hardest part. Deciding how to maximize 13 minutes, but also celebrate – that’s what this show’s gonna be – it’s gonna be a celebration of my catalog in the best way that we could’ve put it together,” she explained.

Many expected Rihanna will be joined by such stars as Jay-Z, Drake, or Eminem during her performance, but she found a different way to surprise us. She announced she was pregnant with her second child, showing off her baby bump in a red custom jumpsuit by Loewe.

Super Bowl LVII took place on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and it saw the Kansas City Chiefs score an epic win against the Philadelphia Eagles.
