]]>There are still two more films to be made before the franchise concludes and Justin Lin, who directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth Fast & Furious films will be returning to direct the final two installments.
However, this doesn’t mean that the Fast & Furious universe will come to an end as spin-off movies based on the characters are currently in development at Universal.
The Fast & Furious storyline follows Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and his family of car-enthusiasts turned thieves turned physics-defying superheroes.
The latest film in the franchise, F9, was supposed to debut earlier this year but Universal pushed back the project to Memorial Day 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
F9 costars franchise actors Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Sung Kang. John Cena will be making his Fast & Furious debut as Jakob, the newest villain and Dom’s younger brother. Cardi B and Ozuna will also have roles in the film.

]]>Back then, Sony has released it as an early Paid Video on Demand trying to minimize their losses. Now, as theaters in the U.S. and abroad are starting to reopen, the studio decided to give the movie another chance. The movie will be available on the big screens from August 20th.
It remains to be seen if the re-release of Bloodshot will succeed in bringing its total up. It should be noted that some people have already watched it on VOD and there is no guarantee they will want to rewatch it. On the other hand, the movie will be one of the few new ones that will be offered by theaters upon reopening.
Another movie that gets a relaunching is Sonic the Hedgehog which will get a chance to add to its $300 million gross.

]]>“To our family of Fast fans everywhere, we feel all the love and the anticipation you have for the next chapter in our saga. That’s why it’s especially tough to let you know that we have to move the release date of the film. It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May,” he wrote in a Twitter post. “While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration.”
The reason for the delay is, of course, the spread of the Coronavirus. Fast & Furious 9 joins other movies that have been pushed back due to the virus such as the next Bond movie, No Time to Die, Peter Rabbit 2, and Greyhound. Production of the next Mission Impossible and Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic were put on hold.

]]>For the last several years, the two actors were involved in a very public feud and Johnson actually hinted that the rough times are behind them. He acknowledged Diesel’s role in bringing him to the franchise and giving him a role that turned out to be one of the most successful in his career.
“As you know, and what a wild ride this is, and what a wild ride this has been, ten years ago when you and I spoke and you invited me into the Fast & Furious family,” said johnson. “I’m grateful for that invite, and as you know, my goal was always, all these years, to come into the Fast & Furious world and help elevate the franchise in any way that I possibly could.”
Johnson ended his video with a wink and a clear hint about the future: “And of course, all roads lead to one thing… I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.”

]]>The actor shared a photo of him alongside walker’s brother – Cody Walker on the set of the new film. The caption read: “There is something special that happens every time Cody comes to visit production. Always making Pablo proud! All love, always.”
This can be seen as a hint for Cody playing the role of Brian in the new film since Cody Walker (and his brother Caleb) has already filled Paul shoes when he helped finish the 7th movie after the accident that killed Paul. Another hint is the news of Jordana Brewster return to the cast. Brewster played Mia, Toretto’s sister and O’conner’s Wife and was absent from the 8th film.
It is all, of course, pure speculation as there was no official announcement about the return of O’Conner’s character or the extent of this return.

]]>As soon as Gadot joined the Fast & Furious franchise, she became part of the family, and as Diesel would say, family always sticks together.
Although Gadot isn’t in the Fast & Furious movies anymore, she and Diesel still stay in touch and get their families together when they can. They recently did just that when Gadot brought her 3-month-old baby girl, Maya, for a visit with Diesel and his 9-year-old daughter, Hania.
“When we aren’t playing superheroes… All love,” Vin wrote on Facebook when he posted this heartwarming photo of the two families sharing some R&R together. It’s a significant moment for Gadot as it’s the first time a photo of her daughter has been released.
The family get-together happened at Diesel’s luxurious Hollywood Hills home.
Gal Gadot is married to Yaron Versano and also has another daughter, 5-year-old Alma. Diesel is dating Paloma Jimenez and has two other children, 6-year-old Vincent and 2-year-old Pauline, named after the late Paul Walker, Diesel’s BFF and co-star on Fast & Furious.
Despite busy film schedules for both of these superstars, they always make sure to find time for their families and their friends.
We hope we get to see some more candid pictures of the Fast & Furious family soon!
