A decade after her departure on the show, Freema Agyeman will reprise her role as Martha Jones.
Martha first appeared in David Tennant’s second season as the Doctor. She was a trusted companion and went around the world encouraging people to join forces to take down the Master.
After her time in Doctor Who, Agyeman reprised her role in the Doctor Who spin-off show, Torchwood. She appeared in three episodes back in 2010, and the character has been in hibernation since.
Now, she is returning to the Doctor Who world in the form of a Torchwood audio story. The story will be created by Big Finish Productions and will explore Martha’s life after the Doctor.
The official synopsis reads: “Gwen Cooper turns up on Martha Jones’s doorstep with a dead body in tow. She needs to ask one final favor of her. And to find out why they stopped being friends.
“A lot’s happened to Torchwood since Martha left. A lot’s happened to Martha since she left Torchwood. And there’s something very odd about the dead body Gwen’s brought with her. Tonight she’s going to be getting more answers than she bargained for.”
Torchwood: Dissected will arrive in February 2020.
