The Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and almost all other major award ceremonies have wrapped up and honored the best in movies and television in the past year. Now it’s time to honor the best in daytime television as well. 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards are just around the corner and we finally found out the nominees on Wednesday during the CBS’ The Talk.
ABC’s General Hospital leads all the programs with 26 nominations, closely followed by NBC’s Days of Our Lives and CBS’ The Young and the Restless, each of whom have 25. CBS is the most nominated network with a total of 66 nominations.
The ceremony of 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards will be held on April 29, at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium with Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood making their return as hosts.
It was previously announced that the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Awards will be awarded to kids show producers Sid & Marty Kroff and Days of Our Lives stars Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes.
