The red carpet better be clean come the 6th of January.

That has been marked as the date on which awards season 2019 will officially commence.

The season traditionally begins with the Golden Globe Awards which covers both film and television and is a good indicator as to what will be nominated for the Oscars.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has now announced that the 76th Annual Golden Globes will be held on the 6th of January.

Nominations for the Globes will be revealed a month earlier, on the 6th of December, while voting will conclude on the 2nd of January.

Last year’s ceremony was hosted by late night TV host Seth Myers, with the 2019 emcee still to be announced.

We can’t wait to live life like it’s golden!
