It’s been three years since the Critics’ Choice Association launched a new ceremony to celebrate the best of genre film and television. Critics’ Choice Super Awards are coming back next month and the list of nominees is led by The Batman with a total of six nods.
The Batman will have to face Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, DC League of Super-Pets, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder for a chance to win one of the night’s biggest awards: best superhero movie.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also did pretty great and it scored a total of five nominations. It’s closely followed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Bullet Train with four nods each, while RRR, Top Gun: Maverick, and Pearl managed to score three apiece.
When it comes to the television categories, The Boys is one of the main contenders with a total of four nods, including the best superhero series. Evil, House of the Dragon, and What We Do in the Shadows are also worth watching out for since they scored four nominations each.
The Critics’ Choice Super Awards are celebrating the best action, superhero, horror, science fiction, fantasy, and animated movies of the past year, and they’ll return on March 16.
