All of Us Strangers is one of the buzziest British movies released this year, and it’s getting credit where credit is due. The list of nominations for the London Critics’ Circle Awards is in, and this poignant fantasy drama is leading the way with a total of nine nods.

All of Us Strangers is one of the contenders for the coveted film of the year awards, but this field is pretty crowded. It also includes Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, May December, Past Lives, Poor Things, The Zone of Interest, and Oppenheimer, which is the second most-nominated film with seven nods.

All of Us Strangers owes the majority of its nods to its amazing cast, including Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, and Claire Foy. It also received nominations for best screenwriter (Andrew Haigh), technical achievement (casting, Kahleen Crawford), and British/Irish film of the year.

Rich Cline, Chair of the Critics’ Circle Film Section, officially unveiled their list of contenders for this year and explained why they tend to look unlike nominations at all the other awards shows.

“The Critics’ Circle Film Awards is an integral part of the annual cinema awards-season conversation and has consistently highlighted film achievements that may be overlooked by other groups,” said Cline in a statement.
