Oppenheimer has been dominating this year’s award season from the very start, and it’s showing no signs of stopping! The list of BAFTA Awards winners is in, and Christopher Nolan’s latest film walked away with seven accolades, including the best film prize.

Oppenheimer was one of the main contenders for the biggest award of the night—best film—and defeated the likes of Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Poor Things to come out victories in this category.

Its stars Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. were rewarded for their respective performances in this film, while Christopher Nolan finally won his first BAFTA for the best director. Oppenheimer also collected trophies in several technical categories, including best cinematography, editing, and original score.

Poor Things was one of the biggest winners of the night and won five out of 11 awards it was nominated for, including best actress for Emma Stone. The Zone of Interest was honored with three accolades and defeated tough competition in Poor Things, All of Us Strangers, and Saltburn to win the coveted award for outstanding British film.

The 2024 BAFTA Awards returned to London’s Royal Festival Hall on February 18, with David Tennant serving as the host.
