The Brit Awards are the British equivalent of the Grammys, and they’ve finally unveiled their list of nominees for this year. Raye is leading the way with seven nods, making history as the most-nominated artist at the Brits in a single year.

Raye is one of the contenders for the British album of the year with her debut studio album My 21st Century Blues. She’ll have to beat tough competition in Blur’s The Ballad of Darren, J Hus’ Beautiful and Brutal Yard, Little Simz’s No Thank You, and Young Fathers’ Heavy Heavy to take the trophy home.

Raye also emerged as one of the front-runners for the artist of the year award, where the list of nominees also includes the likes of Dua Lipa, Dave, Arlo Parks, Jessie Ware, and Central Cee. She’s also been nominated for song of the year with now one, but two tracks – “Escapism.” ft. 070 Shake and “Prada” ft. Cassö and D-Block Europe.

The 26-year-old singer is in the running for three more awards – best pop act, best R&B act, and best new artist. Mahalia, Olivia Dean, PinkPantheress, and Yussef Dayes also received nods in this category.

The 2024 Brit Awards will take place at The O2 Arena in London on March 2, and the host is yet to be announced.
